- Manami was born into a very, very rich family. Her father is the CEO of a conglomerate and her mother feeds off of his wealth, and their relationship runs hot and cold. Manami has a relatively positive relationship with her parents, but they are always too busy to make time for her, so she was showered with money and gifts throughout her life to compensate. 

- Everyone on her father’s side shares the back and white pigmentation. She has four uncles on her father’s side and they are all hardasses with too much money. However, all men of the family revere their mother (Manami’s grandmother), who is old and frail and still sharp as a knife. Manami is her favorite grandchild. 

- Manami has been in many relationships when she was younger, but they were always unstable and she got bored very quickly. Her most successful relationship was with Trumpet, which lasted a year and a half, but this relationship was her eye opener in understanding that money and good looks isn’t enough for long-lasting happiness. There was always a spark missing. When she broke it off, her parents were extremely devastated. They were ready to marry her off immediately, considering Trumpet’s quirk would work fantastically with hers for future children, and he’s rich as fuck. But Manami does what Manami wants. 

- She genuinely cares for Re-Destro, and vice versa. He respects her talent as a hard worker immensely and always rely on her to do the impossible for him. Manami sasses him when the situation is appropriate and he finds it funny. At the end of the day, she devotes a lot of her time and energy to being the best secretary she can be. He is protective of her, especially if he witnesses a colleague trying to flirt with her (she’s hot as fuck and we all know gross old rich  men have a secretary fetish). 

- When she started out as a low-level secretary in Re-Destro’s company, she was terrified of answering phone calls. She was always an extremely talkative and outgoing people-person, but that’s because she could rely on her quirk to influence a person’s perception of her if things go awry. But phone calls are different, because she can only use her quirk on people who are looking into her right eye. Without that crutch, she feels awkward and vulnerable. She still suffers from anxiety to some extent, but she has her little ways of dealing with them (like sucking in a sharp breath of air before answering, which Jin totally notices and she gets very flustered when he calls her out on it).

- Doesn’t know a goddamn thing about how much things really cost. She’ll throw money at anything she wants. Literally the personification of “how much could a banana be? ten dollars?”

- She orchestrated several backup plans before the Deika City battle and remained on standby near the city. Press releases were written, ambulances were called to be within the vicinity, you name it, Manami thought of it. 

- The first thing she notices about Jin when she first meets him is his booty. She is instantly intrigued. 

- They just kinda bumped into each other a lot at the PLF headquarters and chit chatted during meetings, so their friendship evolved naturally. Despite Jin’s mental issues, Manami never takes his accidental insults to heart. He called her a cow once and she couldn’t stop laughing. Her self-confidence is ironclad and indestructible, which Jin really appreciates. 

- She quit smoking when she started university, but she’ll smoke with Jin from time to time just for company. 

- Flat out asks him if he wants to fuck. She always pulls the first move and this time is no exception. Jin is floored and nervous as hell because oh my god she’s really rich and hot what does she want with me, but all of that gets thrown out the window when things get going. He dicks her down so good that she never wants to think about another man again. Which is a big deal in of itself for someone with commitment issues like her. 

- Manami doesn’t usually laugh. It’s always usually a giggle or a light laugh, but never anything full-blown. Only Jin can make her crack up, and she is so embarrassed by it because she snorts really loudly and it’s one of the very few things she’s self-conscious about. But he adores her laugh. 

- The first time she visits Jin’s ratty, filthy apartment, she is literally this:

- But he fucks her senseless and they end up relaxing on his couch with cheap pizza and she’s never experienced the novelty of ... this. This whole situation, getting down to the average joe’s standards and not giving a shit about anything except for how warm and safe she feels in Jin’s arms. 

- She doesn’t want to admit that she’s falling in love with him, but fuck is it hard for her to stay in denial. When she comes to terms with it, she absolutely lets him know. Manami is all or nothing and doesn’t play games. Either you’re fuck buddies or married, there is no in between. 

- Jin brings out her emotional side. Not in a dramatic way, she just opens up more, tells more jokes, laughs a lot, wants to do spontaneous things, etc. He’s just so fun and interesting to her, and more importantly, he showers her with love, which is what she’s always wanted. She never really cared that much about anyone, but she’d die for Jin at that point. All of the affection she’s wanted to bestow upon someone finally comes out, and she coddles Jin like no other. 

- Manami thinks his criminal history is hot, to be quite frank. She likes the bad boy image. She’s not clean herself, not when Re-Destro kills people in his office whenever he’s incredibly upset, so she has thick skin for this sort of stuff. Plus, her family has done a bunch of shady shit to keep their wealth. She tells Jin that the only difference between a rich person and a criminal is having a good lawyer.
