the way i imagine it is like this:
our clammy palms jointed together in a tight hold
with a soft swing as we stroll along the beach.
i tell you about my two left feet and you laugh,
and it feels like celestial church bells permeating the air around me
the way i imagine it is like this:
when months pass by and the walk into your room is second nature to me,
and i’m already wondering what the taste of your lips is like.
the shy laughter that once was, now replaced by knowing glances
and the anticipation of not knowing what will happen next is all too consuming
the way i imagine it is like this:
you’re unbraiding my hair, the soft brushes of your fingers sending shivers down my spine.
and i’m hoping that you know
i’m already yours, if you don’t. and i have been since the start.
the way i imagine it is like this:
when you meet me half way with your treacly kisses
it alters my world into something beautifully perplexing.
and the space between us is filled with words of sensuality and praise,
i tell you that you are much more than i wished for,
i don’t dare ask for more
but i’ll take anything you give me with grace.
and hold it to the crescent of my heart,
where i saved a spot for you.
the way i imagine it is like this:
when your eyes meet mine in a vehement gaze,
my mind is infiltrated with bottomless words of affection for you
and the more i swim into my poetry, the more i swim into you;
the dip of your waist and your feather-like touch against my cheek.
so i will write for you, my love

If I Was Orpheus, And You Were Eurydice
Inspired by a post from @uncarnetmaisvirtuel that was all “RIP to Orpheus but I’m different”; Thanks for the Inspiration lmao
On AO3
If I was Orpheus, and You were Eurydice, I’d reach back to take your hand in mine. I wouldn’t look—I couldn’t look.
Your hand was so, so cold.
into my moon
the sun was in my eyes when i looked at you
the one thing meant to show me truth, blinded me so bright
and like water to a burning flame you put out my light
but i still took you into my moon, let you lay in the crescent of my heart.
burrow deep into the cave of where i parted the darkest pieces of my piscean soul from the rest of the world.
i was not meant for you, that you knew.

Cups
i don’t know how long i’ve been in the water for
minutes, hours, days, maybe weeks
my hair is tangled and my fingers are pruned
and yet, i still feel it’s too soon to leave
i’m drowning while standing, feeling the water
i embody it
in hopes that i can fill my own cup
i don’t know if i have found myself quite yet

As part of @thecabinetofcreators I have posted an Arya Stark POV poem on our new AO3 account. In the future we'll also get to see what other group members think up, so I recommend following if you have an AO3 and can do so!
In the meantime, here's a link to the poem itself.
