you were nervous, so nervous you thought watching him jog over to you with the biggest smile on his face. you’ve never been asked on a date before, especially not by anyone this attractive.
“I’m sorry I couldn’t take you out for dinner! I only have a little bit of time before I have to go back to work.” he’d apologized as soon as he got close enough to you to which you smiled.
“its fine! I love frozen yogurt!” you laughed a bit not even thinking less of the date idea, you thought it was cute. “thats a relief, next time you’ll have to let me know your favorite food ill take you out again.”
n-next time? you havent even had the chance to embarrass yourself on this date before he’d suggested another one. it made you feel special in a way, you felt your face get warm. embarrassed.
“ah here, whats your favorite flavor?” he’d asked holding the door open for you to enter the cute shop.
“mm, chocolate!”
“no way! mine too.”
“what about toppings?”
“cheesecake bites and brownies are a must! I’m a bit sensitive to crunchy toppings.”
“ahh thats a shame, oreo and brownie are my favorites.”
“that sounds good!“
setting the treats down at the chesnut table you felt heat rise to your cheeks as yugyeom came behind you to pull your seat out.
“no one’s ever done that for me before...” you’d stuttered out causing his brows to raise in genuine surprise. “really?” he seemed a bit surprised but a pout formed on his lips as if the information made him sad.
sitting down with a huff, yugyeom gestured for you to try the yogurt first. “i’m a regular here so go ahead, I hope you like it”
“mm, it’s good!”
“I knew you’d like it!”
“like really good!” you hummed hands going to your cheeks at the rush of sugar.
after talking about your favorite things to do and how work has been going you figured you’d ask “so, what made you ask me out suddenly?”
yugyeom looked flustered at the question his hand immediately going to his neck in slight embarrassment.
“sorry, if that was a weird question it’s just… we’ve been friends for while and I honestly didn’t even think you even liked me,” yugyeom laughed slightly at you use of air quotes around the word friends.
shaking his head he scoffed, “seriously? every time im around you I turn into a stuttering mess which is why I didn’t talk to you much, it took me three shots and a pep talk from Bam to even ask you for your number.”
“really?! i’ve always been super nervous around you… not knowing what to say since i’m not that good at korean… I just thought you wouldn’t like me.” you’d admitted.
there’s a lot he’d wanted to tell you; you’re beautiful, how he thinks of you all night whenever he randomly sees you at a friends party, how you laughing at his jokes is making him so fucking shy.
instead he settled for, “so what’s your favorite food, for next time.”
I tossed my makeup bag onto the vanity my name card laid upon, and sat at the chair. Today was officially the end of my first week at the night club here in Seoul, South Korea. Our boss was a very polite business man, though I picked up some Mafia vibes from him. The little card said tonight was very important, that we were having important men coming by for a party. I had nodded to myself, and took a deep breath.
I began my makeup, when I flew here I had left all of my old stuff in America. I figured I needed an all new start, and that began with my look. As I started, I heard a few of the other girls speaking. There were three of them, I haven't learned their names just yet. I understood what they said, but roughly. What I could understand, was they were talking about a record label.
Disregarding them, I placed my headphones in and pressed play on my phone. My favorite artist played loudly through my headphones, which I smiled about. I was basically your average girl who was obsessed with Korean Pop and Hip Hop music. I decided to move here when I was 12, when my mothers mental abuse had increased when my dad left for another woman, in another state. I never heard from him after he left, I don't think I'd ever want to. I'm 20 now, and I'm finally far away from my mother.
The whole time I had been here my makeup was very minimal, but tonight I decided it was time to step it up a notch and really draw attention to myself. I did a gold glitter cut crease, winged my eyeliner, and did a pink ombre lip. I dug into my bag to grab my outfit. tonight I brought my black bodysuit, corset and stockings.
When I changed into my work clothes, those girls were now giggling. From the corner of my eye, I saw they were now talking about Jay Park. "I don't think that's who's coming tonight... If it is, I might die.", I thought to myself. He was too popular to come here, as well known as it was here. I slipped on my heels, and brushed it off. No matter who was coming, I needed to put on a good show.
I had about an hour until I was due to be with the other girls on stage, so I stretched my legs out. I heard my bosses voice. As he walked in, I greeted him.
"Annyeonghaseyo." I spoke softly, unsure of if I said it correctly. "I'm sorry if that's incorrect, Mr. Kangjŏn. I'm still learning." I didn't look towards him, but I knew he was behind me. I looked at the floor in front of me as I stretched my left leg, and I felt more than just my boss behind me.
"You're quite alright, Niko. Learning by trial and error is fine with me, as long as you try. But, I do have someone here to meet you. This is our very important guest for tonight.", I lifted myself off of the ground, and adjusted my stockings before I turned around.
My heart fucking sank.
"Nika, this is Jaebum. I'm sure you know very well of who he is." I nodded, and I bit my lower lip as I held my hand out for him to shake. Instead of giving my hand a shake, he kissed the pale flesh across my knuckles. "Good to meet you, Niko. I'm sure you'll be giving all of us at AOMG a good show, I'd love to see you after work...", He winked, and I nodded once more. I released my lip, and smiled. "Yeah, I can do that.", I could feel myself turning a bright red immediately. But I felt unsure if he wanted me, or the other girls. I took a deep breath, and spun on my heels to walk away from the two men.
"See you soon, Jaebum.", I tried to sound confident, I'm sure my flushed cheeks ruined that for me, but I had to try. I placed my phone and headphones in my bag, and made my way onto the stage; It was packed, and I saw Jay take a seat on one of the couches. I took a deep breath, and paraded my way to the pole in front of them, swaying my long brown hair side to side. I spun around the pole, wrapping my legs around it and held myself upside-down, I spread my legs wide open. As I looked at the crowd watching me, I accidentally made eye contact with a familiar pair of eyes, who summoned me over.
synopsis. you walk into a tattoo place and yugyeom is the owner
#. suggestive, first meeting
entering the small shop, your eyes roamed over the black and red interior design. the chairs were a clean smooth looking black leather, while the walls were painted a deep red. tattoo pieces filled the walls framed with either black or red.
the front desk was a cool white marble where a contrasting dark haired male sat. quirking a curious eyebrow at the man, you walked up to the desk quietly pressing your finger against the black bell that sat at the table.
flinching largely at the small sound, youngjae yelped at your sudden appearance.
“i-i’m so sorry,” you spoke trying hard not to laugh at his reaction.
staring up you, youngjae gathered himself fixing his shirt to look more appropriate.
“n-no sorry, w-what can I do for you today?” he asked, hoping his cheeks weren’t too red from embarrassment. you smiled brightly ember swimming in your eyes, “i’m thinking about getting a tattoo tonight.”
“thinking? Did you make an appointment?” youngjae questioned grabbing at his planner to check if someone had made an appointment for so late at night.
“no, it was kind of a spontaneous decision.” you added quickly feeling bad for youngjae who was ready to look up your unscheduled appointment.
“you spontaneously came to our shop an hour before closing with no appointment?” youngjae inquired looking up at you through his dark bangs. watching you nod shyly at his words, youngjae grinned.
“I have the perfect artist for you, with the hour we have left till closing you can get a small work done.” youngjae stood up looking for something near the table he worked at. he’d meant to clean up the messy area one day but never got around to it.
your brows rose in delight excited that you could get tattooed eyes only brushing over the mess of papers youngjae had near his desk.
“you’re lucky he doesn’t usually take customers these days but I’ll persuade him,” youngjae added, gaping once he found what he was looking for.
handing you a black book that had the letters K and Y imprinted on the front, youngjae pointed toward the seats available in the waiting lounge.
“you can look through his portfolio and see if you like his style of work,” youngjae hummed checking the time on his watch, “i’m just going to go tell him he has a customer.”
you hummed tracing the wolf head tattoo with crystals and bold shading you found opening to a random page in the book.
youngjae hurriedly made his way to the back of the shop to inform yugyeom of the sudden customer.
your lips parting in amazement, while your eyes skimmed the many pieces of art in the book. you'd quickly fallen in love with the style of tattoos the person did and began to wonder why he didn’t take customers.
“THE FUCK DO I CARE?!”
you flinched at the outburst eyes turning to where youngjae disappeared only seconds ago.
“COULDN’T GIVE A FUCK HOW HOT-”
you flinched slightly when the door slammed open revealing a man with disheveled brown hair.
your eyes immediately ran down his arms, one which was sprinkled with little tattoos here and there. the man was a lot less tatted as you'd expected a tattoo artist to be.
yugyeom halted a bit when his eyes met your own, his brows furrowing a bit. youngjae ran behind him pleadingly, his head hung low at just being yelled at.
“you want to get tattooed?” yugyeom asked throwing his hands into his pockets while his eyes roamed down your body.
your brows raised at the action, feeling naked under his gaze. looking down at your red and black striped t-shirt dress and shuddered.
“yeah I wanted to.” you spoke, lips pursing at his dialed down tone. he was obviously a lot less angry than he was a few seconds ago.
“I don’t take customers,” he said simply watching you bite your lips, sulking.
“so I’ve heard,” you added, “why is that?”
yugyeom ran his tongue across the inside of his cheek at entertaining a conversation with you. however, he found himself continuing anyway.
“i’m the owner, my work is expensive and usually exclusive.” Yugyeom looked back at youngjae who flinched thinking he would yell again.
“what do you want to get?” he sighed shooing away youngjae who mentally thanked you for being pretty enough to excuse his actions.
you frowned cutely at his words, “a koi fish.”
yugyeom nodded already mentally preparing a sketch to save some time. looking over you one more time, yugyeom smirked.
“come inside…” yugyeom paused waiting for you to tell him your name.
“that’s pretty, real pretty.” he nodded after hearing it.
your brows jolted at the response, not used to people complimenting you on it.
“thank you.”
“mhm,” yugyeom murmured leading you out of the lounge and into his work space. it seemed to be the only space behind closed doors. the other tattoo booths were placed outside barely covered by red curtains.
“just give me a second to draw it up,” he let out briefly heading toward his desk area grabbing the things he needed.
you took this time to look around the quite large room you assumed was yugyeom's office.
there were a few pictures scattered aimlessly on the walls of yugyeom with a girl, one of him with two guys, and some were of a dog. one of the boys in the pictures looks vaguely familiar but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
“first tattoo?” yugyeom asked barely looking up at you.
you hummed pointing to your back and your ankle, “no, I have two.”
yugyeom nodding absentmindedly calmly shocked that your sweet looking form was already tatted.
his eyes sneaked another glance at you, slipping down your exposed legs. licking at his lips, his gaze ran up your chest lingering at your collarbones that loosely entertained a small necklace.
finally reaching your eyes, yugyeom smirked watching you stare back at him incredulously. he wasn’t even trying to hide the fact that he was checking you out.
however he wasn’t sure if you were his type. you gave off an innocence he didn’t want to corrupt. he’d learned, the hard way, that corrupting sweet people made them too attached to him, too clingy. yugyeom hated clingy people.
yugyeom wasn’t looking for anything serious, he never was. his relationships with both men and women were all mainly sexual, he didn’t like going on dates and being with one person all the time.
you titled your head to the side a knowing smirk slowly creeping its way onto your lips, “you’d better finish that sketch if you want to get this tattoo done before closing.”
yugyeom's brow raised at your oddly fluent change in tone. if he thought he had a good grasp on your personality before he surely was confused now. it was like your voice was dripping venom and lust.
“hmm,” yugyeom hummed tapping the pad against his knee, his attention taken away from the sketch.
“or,” you continued moving closer to his desk, “we could do something else to relieve the.. tension.”
yugyeom's brows jolted, he swore they’d flown off his face from your words. it’s not like this was new, people have come on strong to him multiple times but he hadn’t thought you were of that kind.
“you’d like that, i’m sure,” yugyeom regained himself leaning back onto his chair, his legs spreading slightly. sure, he was surprised but that didn’t mean he’d pass up a good fuck.
“wouldn’t have suggested it if I didn’t,” you pursed your lips watching yugyeom playful smirk turn slightly serious.
“we won’t have time for the tattoo..” he reminds, placing the sketch pad down walking to trap you against his desk.
“I guess we’ll just have to see how long you can last with me.”

smiling widely at the television screen that broadcasted one of your favorite movies. you were half way through a blunt as you settled in for the night. it was thursday night, your thursday night, where you threw on boxer shorts and walked around in your brother’s old college hoodies.
hearing your phone go off at the beginning of the movie your eyes snapped over to the device at the familiar ringtone. you'd strategically set different alerts for the important people in your life so you wouldn’t answer the wrong phone calls at the wrong time.
“he wouldn’t dare,” you tried to convince yourself bringing the device closer. squinting at the bright screen, you kicked your feet at the dreaded message, “at hyung’s really want to see you tonight.”
rolling your eyes profusely, you swooped up from your position on the couch before making your way to your bedroom in search of an impromptu outfit.
yugyeom knew he wasn’t allowed to see you on thursday nights, it was one of your rules. he knew you'd dedicated the day to yourself, however, he was high and tipsy and really wanted to fuck you tonight. ironically, you knew you couldn’t say no to yugyeom. for one, you got free weed when he was around and two you couldn’t pass up sex with him especially when you were high.
quickly putting yourself together, you looked down at the outfit, yugyeom had bought it for you about month ago and you'd never had the chance to wear it out. you struggled loosely to find shoes to match before texting yugyeom to call you an uber. you'd have to remind yourself to tell yugyeom he owed you a movie for interrupting your self care night.

jaebum’s house never seized to surprise anyone who entered, white high walls gold and black accents, living and dining spaces that exuded luxury. squeezing your way through a few intoxicated people you headed towards the kitchen, you scoffed at the amount of people that packed around you.
you had mixed feelings about going to the parties yugyeom went to. the last time he’d invited you to a party, multiple fights broke out and the cops showed up. it had worked out in your favor because yugyeom was pretty bummed about not getting to smoke and drink with his friends he took it out on you during sex.
you hadn’t been to a party since but trusted jaebum's parties a bit more. nothing really ever went wrong at his parties because he always seemed to invite the right people and made sure to tell them to leave their shit at home.
making eye contact with one of yugyeom's friends, bam, you laughed softly at the blunt and drink in both his hands.
“pick your poison,” he smiled holding the two out to you generously. you rolled your eyes taking the blunt from his left hand, “you’ve known me for a year now and still can’t remember that I don’t drink.”
holding his hand up in defense bam smiled, “not my girl not my problem.” his response caused you to scoff playfully taking a hit from the blunt before looking around for yugyeom.
“bathroom break.” jaebum said quickly walking up to you as you exhaled smoke into his face and taking the blunt from your hands. jaebum had known you longer than yugyeom and bam thanks to him being your dealer a few years back. that was before he stopped smoking and dealing all together. contrary to their prior relationship, jaebum wasn’t the one who introduced you to yugyeom.
“you already look high as fuck,” he laughed holding the weed further away from you. you pouted, your arms crossing over your chest in frustration. it was true, you were high but that didn’t mean you were done smoking for the night.
“I think she can smoke as much as she wants,” yugyeom finally drawled deeply, wrapping his arms around your waist causing you to flinch. recovering quickly when taking in his cologne, you laughed at the short kiss he gave your neck.
“pot heads,” jaebum muttered giving it back to you who proceeded to take another pull.
yugyeom took this time to look over you, eyes narrowing at your body. you titled your head at his lingering eyes passing him the blunt to which he accepted.
“didn’t think you’d come,” he yelled over the music that suddenly got louder. you nodded watching him take a hit eagerly waiting for your turn.
“took some convincing, but here I am,” you lied, grinning when he passed you the weed. you'd taken no time to think about coming over here just to get yugyeom to come back to your apartment and fuck your brains out. but you'd never tell him that.
“did you smoke earlier?” he questioned lifting your chin to look at your slightly red eyes. you nodded instantly, you smoked half a blunt so you weren't faded but you were a little high.
yugyeom tugged at your arm softly bringing you to stand in front of him while his hands locked on your hips. “that dress I bought you looks so fucking good on you,” he smirked leaning down immediately, his lips leaving soft kisses on your neck. you hummed in response your eyes closing momentarily at his touch.
“what do you say?” yugyeom asked pulling away to look over you again, a smirk playing on his lips.
“t-thank you,” you stuttered.
yugyeom shook his head, placing his hand on your thigh. squeezing tightly his thumb grazing the inside of your thighs, “what was that?”
“thank… you.” you finally let out, your eyes glaring toward yugyeom who just smiled bigger at your response. you were down for a lot of things but while yugyeom was particularly found of other people seeing what was his, you were not. that was another one of your rules, no explicit pda. he’d broken two of your three rules in one night and you were starting to get a little annoyed.
“you’re bold tonight,” you spoke removing his hands from your thighs. “don’t let this party get you in trouble,” you warned causing yugyeom's brows to raise. he knew he was testing you tonight but he loved seeing you upset. it was the childish part of him coming to play. he loved watching you get mad at him and loved when you took the attitude to the bedroom even more.
“whoa okay, i’m sorry.” he apologized pouting cutely while rubbing your shoulders. you nodded passing it off as he was just a little too intoxicated.
“but I really did good on this one huh?” he asked staring down at the dress again causing you to nod a smile appearing on your lips at how he was looking for praise.
“mm it’s too tight,” you shrugged pursing your lips while laughing at the small pout appearing on his lips. “maybe I wanted it that way,” he responded sullen at you moving away from his touch.
you took a long pull from the blunt eyes closed inhaling the smoke deeply, yugyeom watched biting at his bottom lip. a few guys roamed around the kitchen watching the way you carried yourself and he loved it.
he loved knowing how many other guys wanted you but couldn’t have you… well none of these guys anyway… it was the first time he was so protective over someone, especially one of his ‘fuck buddies.’
he knew you were seeing other guys, you were both honest about that. he wasn’t seeing anyone else, which at first made you question whether this would even work between the two of you. yugyeom insisted there was nothing to worry about he wasn’t looking for anything serious, well until—
“how about we take it off then?” yugyeom asked, his voice slightly deeper as he went from whispering in your ear to nibbling at the skin below it, causing your hands to grip softly at the nape of his neck.
Could you do another cheesy Simon D/Suga fic? The last one was sooo cute!
Yes I can!!
This is set in mine and @siobhandestele‘s AU in which Bangtan ditch Bighit and sign to AOMG bc who doesn’t love a bit of wish fulfillment?
The best thing about AOMG is not the sofas in the back of every studio, or the ease with which new equipment can be purchased and installed. It’s not the support of fellow artists who genuinely want to see each other reach their full potential, nor is it the lack of a concrete schedule and dance classes. It’s not the cameras being pulled from their faces, or the ability to step outside the building without someone reeling them back in, or even the removal of the goody two shoes masks they’ve all been wearing for so long. The best thing isn’t being able to eat whatever they want. It’s not finally getting out of the dorm.
No, the best thing about AOMG is the time. So much of it, handed out like it’s nothing. Their obligation to the company is measured in albums rather than years and they can take as long as they want to pull together and create something they can be proud of. No one comes banging on the studio door two hours from a deadline to remind them that if they can’t write the thing themselves Pdogg will do it, and if they can’t hit all the notes autotune will still be there for them.
Which isn’t to say autotune is not still there for them, now that it’s not being held like a sword over his head Yoongi can actually see the value in it’s song saving powers. It’s particularly useful when the others have given up on the production process and there are still kinks to be ironed out.
It’s pretty difficult to blame them for getting bored. Now that he can have full control Yoongi all but insists on it and Namjoon and Hoseok’s attempts to join in with the technical aspects of their music have been getting more infrequent. Leave the writing to them - Namjoon was always the better lyricist and Hoseok has a way of finding a new way to approach a track that none of the rest of them might have considered. On reflection, Yoongi has come to realise he’s something of an average rapper, but he’s learned enough from Bang PG, Pdogg and Slow Rabbit to give him a fair start, and when he really gets stuck Gray is usually happy to help out.
Sunghwa, not Gray. It’s been months and Yoongi’s still getting used to the change.
He sits, basking in the glow of the mixing board, one headphone held to his left ear as he fiddles with the bass setting. He is alone and unhurried. For the first time in a long time, he might even be at peace.
The soft click of the door swinging open drags Yoongi’s attention away from the track he’s working on. He twists in the producer’s chair to see the familiar figure of Kiseok lolloping into the room, practically drowning in one of his various oversized hoodies and smelling strongly of fried food. There was never any confusion with names there, Simon D or SsamD or whatever never quite fit right.
Kiseok catches Yoongi’s eye and his face splits into a lopsided grin, “how’s it going?”
“S’going good. Wanna listen?”
Kiseok cocks his head like he’s thinking about it but Yoongi already knows that he’s going to say no. It’s becoming something of a routine for two of them: late night sessions where Kiseok demands something of Yoongi in exchange for his opinion.
Only Kiseok rarely asks for anything for himself. Sure, one night he insisted that Yoongi go back over old Bangtan choreography for the entertainment factor but that was a one off thing. Usually he asks that Yoongi take half an hour, or go get a drink with him, or just plain reminds him that he’s not working to anyone else’s deadline.
“Still gotta grind for it,” Yoongi replies.
Kiseok drops onto the sofa in the corner and pulls a box of fried chicken out of the depths of his hoodie. “You’re not wrong kid. You also gotta eat.”
“Just five more-”
“Now!” Kiseok’s not angry, even the insistent tone of voice he uses when he’s short on patience is relative light. There’s something in his eyes though, something soft yet intent that never fails to stop Yoongi dead in his tracks.
Besides, the chicken does smell good. Yoongi wrestles himself to his feet and makes his way over to the sofa. He lets himself be pulled into a half hug, instinctively gravitating towards Kiseok’s body heat. He’s always so warm, like a great hearth waiting to tempt Yoongi to idleness.
“Open wide,” Kiseok purrs, picking up a piece of chicken and flying towards Yoongi’s mouth like he’s feeding a child.
It’s impossible to tell if it’s supposed to be patronising or sweet, but as long as he’s allowed into this warm little pocket of the world Yoongi can’t say he cares to see the difference. He opens wide, bites down, he’s still not used to tasting grease and not feeling guilt immediately congeal at the back of his mouth.
Kiseok hands over the drumstick so that Yoongi can go to town on it and selects a thigh for himself. The best part is that they can take as long as they want with this, they have all the time in the world.
“Thanks hyeong,” Yoongi says, two drumsticks and a thigh down and starting to get rather full.
“No worries,” Kiseok replies. His hand slides down to wrap around Yoongi’s waist, pulling him in closer. Neither of them says a thing but it’s impossible to ignore, the drag between their bodies, like maybe one night they’re going to close the distance all together.
One night. Not tonight. Yoongi doesn’t allow himself too much longer on the sofa before he brings a set of headphones over for Kiseok to listen to the track. But he does allow himself some time, to enjoy the sensation of being held and fed and cared for. It’s the start of something, of that much he is sure, and one of the better things about AOMG is that when the time comes he can explore that at his own pace. No stress, no deadlines. Perhaps this is what it feels like to achieve inner peace.
HOSeok/jay park, dancing, that one aomg AU we've got going LMAO
Man...when is one of us gonna sit down and write that fucking au????
How fucking predictable. All this space, all this time, and here they are squashed into one corner of the dance studio moving like someone might cut the audio off at any moment. Hoseok sees his reflection, the way his brow furrows in concentration and his hair sticks to his forehead, but he doesn’t feel like he’s really connected to the sparse collection of limbs staring back at him. It looks entirely to driven, too focused on the dance at hand.
Next to him, Jaebum looks seamless. It’s to be expected really, the guy quite literally taught Hoseok everything he knows.
Ok, maybe not everything, but enough. Way back when JYP had them both under the same wing, a lifetime ago, there had been other dance studios. The trainees had relished the scant few training sessions they received from bona fide idols regardless of how worthwhile the experience of standing in their presence ever was. Park Jaebum though, he is and always has been professional, approachable, and driven. After all this time, being back under the same label as him really isn’t so bad.
You wouldn’t know it from looking at him, of course. He dresses like a teenage boy who has just discovered the rich kids of instagram and uses American slang like he expects everyone to marvel at his linguistic prowess every damn time. But he’s alright. He’s still a good teacher.
“You gotta hit the jump harder on the second line of the chorus.” Jaebum says. It breaks Hoseok’s concentration, brings him crashing back into the present. He sees his reflection come to a halt.
No one goes to adjust the music. Hoseok shakes out his shoulders and rewinds his steps, the flow of the song is all wrong but the rhythm is still right for him to run through the move again. His ankle protests, and all it takes is a few steadying steps to the left before he’s crashing into Jaebum.
All this damn space...Hoseok doesn’t say. He likes it like this, dancing is easier in close proximity to your partner, Jaebum taught him that.
Jaebum laughs, reaches out a steadying hand to hold Hoseok up, “easy there. Take it slow the first time.”
He does take it slow, it still doesn’t look quite right. Jaebum demonstrates again, exaggerating his movements to a point that would be funny if he didn’t manage to make it look so smooth. Hoseok watches him like a hawk, trying to spot the point at which he loses track. But when Jaebum dances it doesn’t look like him, and instead his eyes keep demanding to know how a person can move like that - how many hours of practice and space and time?
After three more tries he still can’t get it. The track has moved on and the rhythm doesn’t match any more, but they’re still trying, eyes fixed on each other’s in the mirror. Jaebum stops him, sets a hand just above his waist like he’s about to guide Hoseok through the dance personally.
A big room that they have made small, no one around to see. It’s so damn easy to see how this ends. Hoseok isn’t Yoongi and he’s certainly not Kiseok, he has patience for many things but not for delaying the inevitable. Jaebum’s other hand comes up to rest on his hip and just for a moment their reflections are indistinguishable.
“Like this?” Hoseok hisses, pulling Jaebum round, pushing him against the mirror and crashing their lips together.
Jaebum kisses back, a hand flying out to brace himself against the glass, fingers scrambling for purchase. “Fuck yeah,” he breathes, “you’re a fast learner.”
