The younger Green stated simply, eyes looking up at the man from her position on the couch, her face painted with a questioning expression, as if Mukuro were confused as to why he was here. Silence filled the room for a moment, but only a moment before she then uttered in a hushed tone, "...I've been waiting all this time for you to come back...I thought I lost you too...."

“....I made you worry again, didn’t I?”

There’s a sheepish look on his face, he’d....taken far longer than he would have liked. Between the complications that arose as a result of the Slate slowly influencing the rest of the world, beyond the borders of Japan, as well as the matters he was assigned to deal with on top of that--It had left little time for Yukari to return home, much less send word. Slowly approaching her, he leaned down, carefully reaching a gloved hand to gently cup her cheek in his hand.

Quietly, his thumb stroked the delicate flesh their as he struggled for an apologetic smile.

“...I'm sorry, Mukuro-chan.”

"...Yukari I have something I want to tell you...I can't keep this to myself anymore..." Mukuro stated, seriousness in her tone as she approached the other, "...I don't know how to convey this, so I'm just going to say it...I-I..." She stammered, trying to gather her thoughts properly, averting her gaze from the man in the process, "...I...love you...I love you, Yukari...!" (I got an error the first time I sent this so hopefully it works now if it didn't already ;;;)

There’s no way to hide the surprise that passes across Yukari’s handsome features, leaving the man at a loss for words. For certain, he had told Mukuro that he would wait as long as it takes to hear her response to his feelings, and the day had finally come for that awaited answer. He very nearly drops whatever it is in his hand from the gravity of it all, a mixture of feelings hitting him all at once.

There was some shock. Absolutely a little concern, but just a dash--No, that would be a blatant lie. There was an infinite amount of relief that he wouldn’t show on his face welling up in his chest, along with the same warmth he always felt whenever he laid his eyes upon this wonderful woman. Daring to take a step forward, slowly lifting his hand--He would reach out to gently cup her cheek in his gloved palm if she would let him.

Absentmindedly, his thumb tenderly brushed along her skin, his usual arrogant smile replaced with one that was just a little sheepish, one that didn’t quite have the unshakable confidence that Yukari perpetually carried himself with. There was only one thing that he could say in return. And Yukari? He was more than happy to finally utter the words outside of his dreams.

“....I love you too, Mukuro-chan.”

After the Dresden Slate had been destroyed, things were slowly calming down again. HOMRA and Scepter 4 had agreed on restoring their peace, and work together to take care of the last Strains. And to ‘bond’ - or whatever the Blue King had called it - they’d decided on visiting an amusement park, to get to know each other better and have fun together.

Spotting one of them alone looking around, Yata hesitantly walked over, you know, to be nice.

“H-Hey, you’re from the blues, right..? A-Are you lost?” Talking to girls still didn’t get any easier for him.
