can you talk more about levi and physical touch

yes. always yes.

- as an adult, often gentle touches feel like he’s being touched for the first time. he - though very rarely - tried to treat victims in the underground like isabel with the same care his mother had for him, but he realizes that it never translated if this is the way it actually feels when you touch him.

- he doesn’t really feel like he’s made to be treated gently.

- typically, Levi has an enormous aversion to being touched. it’s instantly overstimulating… because he’s simply unaccustomed to it.

- 🚨LOVES HIS HAIR BEING PLAYED WITH🚨nothing makes him melt into your arms faster. or calms him down, honestly. there’s nothing like stroking levi’s hair in the dark because *you only suspect* he’s had a nightmare, the only indication being his unsteady breathing.

- i have a theory that Levi runs very warm because he’s an ackerman (and ackermans were created from titan science), so he’s a very reliable heater. now he doesn’t sleep well, and he particularly doesn’t care for beds, but he is glad to be your personal space heater.

- and he really gets into cuddling. like to an extent that embarrasses him inside. (in modern au, your laptop in bed is his enemy.)

- you won’t catch him dead initiating touch. it takes sometime in a relationship with you to gain… not exactly confidence, but the willingness, to reach out.

- Levi devotes great thought to seemingly mundane things, partly because it’s novel to him. like your hand moving over his own. just what it is to feel so safe, holding hands, at the place where he’s dealt the most harm to others. he has small palms and long fingers, and the skin is hard and callous. there are scars. it feels like his hands are dirty, which is part of his reservations about connecting in general.

- yeah holding hands feels like a big step for him.

- he’s ticklish. (yikes i’ve made more than one post on this topic.) not easily ticklish mind you, but once you find the spot, it’s all over. there’s a spot just beside his hip that’s not quite his navel and he turns into a demon when you tickle it because he’d start laughing otherwise.

- this is likely only a scenario i get a lot of joy out of, but it amuses him if you get a kick out of play-wrestling. not just because you’re laughing while “fighting”, or the fact that he can easily fold you into a pretzel but acts on the defensive most of the time - there’s something about fighting feeling like affection that endears him to you a large amount. he also lets you win a lot.

- it’s sooo easy to turn him on, don’t even get me started. touching his waist… caressing his neck up towards his jaw… thinking you’re sneaky by grabbing his thigh when he’s distracted just as a joke, yet… ;))

the way you met levi was honestly quite funny. you signed up for one of those sugar baby websites as a joke . . . mostly. you'd been out of college for a while, but the job market was terrible. yeah, you had a job, but the pay wasn't as good as you'd hoped, especially for the life you'd envisioned.

he responded to your ad rather quickly, taking no longer than three days to see it and message you. it was just to talk, really. it was easy money. talk to a lonely man for a few hours and earn some money.

levi is not stingy with his money when it comes to you. in his eyes, you're a service worker, and he's always very generous towards them. that said, whenever you ask for something, there is a very high likelihood you'll get it.

despite being well off and on a whole different plane of existence from you, levi is very in touch with your circumstances. you're not sure why at first, but you don't question it. even though he curated your arrangement, you always feel bad asking for money outside of what he gives you to talk to him. if you need money for bills or groceries, that is typically when you're the most afraid to ask.

levi, being a very attentive man, if aware of this, and learned to send you grocery money weekly and bill money monthly, right around the time he knows that your bills are due. he never mentions it, and if you bring it up, he'll simply hum a quiet reply and continue the conversation.

you guys are talking for months before anything sexual ever happens. despite your label as a sugar baby, levi feels too bad to ask you for sex in return for his money. to him, it feels predatory, even though you made it clear that you didn't mind (he's hot and rich, who wouldn't want to sleep with him).

when you guys do finally sleep together, he is very attentive and gentle, only changing things up if you asked or he could tell it was what you wanted.

the aftercare is top tier, too. he'll run you a bath, put on the kettle to make you both tea, and order whatever food you desired. that would also be the first time you spend the night at his house, and after that, you would almost never be home.

levi begins to really trust and confide in you, so much so that you become one of the first people he updates about his life in real time (he told you he only does that with his best friends).

levi learns all of your favorites, where to get them, how to make them, and anything of the sort; and you do the same for him.

the moment he realizes that he's falling for you is when he texts you that he's having a terrible shift and asks you to come over after work, but he walks into his house to you finishing up his favorite food with a cup of tea on the counter waiting for him. it was something so small and simple, yet it meant the world to levi and made him realize that he could no longer see his life without you in it, whatever that meant.

Keeps a hand on her lower back when they’re in a crowded area and guides her

Tucks her hair behind her ears when she’s eating beside him

Holds her head to his chest so she can hear his heartbeat when she’s panicked or upset

When she asks for anything he replies with “Yes ma’am”

Holds her from behind and grips her waist tightly when she’s deep in thoughts to ground her

Picks her up in a princess carry when she’s drunk to take her to their home

Grips her thigh soothingly under the table when they’re sitting together

Ensures they’re always touching no matter what- even if it’s just their knees touching

Piggy rides her when she’s hurt or injured or tired and runs a thumb over her thighs from where he’s gripping them to soothe her

Grips her chin to pull her head up and smothers her in neck kisses when she’s feeling jealous to reassure her

Let’s her straddle his lap, tucks her head under his chin, and reassures her with words and kisses to the crown of her head whenever she’s scared of losing him

I genuinely feel like Sasha's death, Sasha in particular dying was unnecessary. The thing is, it served gabi's development by having her kill this seemingly all bad, nameless enemy, but ends up being taken care of by their family and learns they had a life, core, people they loved and people who loved them back. Which to me would be more impactful if it was a nameless soldier even to us. Speaking to us. we wouldn't have cared if it was a background character she killed. We did always feel terrible at the losses the scouts and civilians had through the seasons, even the "nameless" characters, that's true, but in the end we were just glad our main characters were safe. (Here I am wishing a background character died instead of sasha, although in their world both are just as valuable). But if it was a background character who got shot and we got to see their story, their loved ones, their personality and dreams and how they're as layered as anyone, we would've related more to gabi and shared her perspective, I guess. we weren't bothered at first, but then we would feel very bad knowing how they were as complex as any of our main cast.

in my opinion reiner and bertholdt never labeled their relationship and probably didnt really talk about it much at all. they didn't develop crushes on eachother and have the akward period of "does he like me, what if this ruins everything"

it was so gradual that it almost felt like nothing between them ever changed, but by the end of it they were so different from how they started. things between them started shifting from just being warriors the moment they stepped foot on paradis.

it was them being all alone- but with eachother. it was them only ever being able to confide the whole truth in eachother. it was them being able to share eye contact when in groups, when the other cadets would say something about inacting their revenge, it was their way of letting the other know that they are not alone in this, that they have eachother. it was that bertholdt was the only one who could know about reiners personality disorder, and the trust they had to have. it was at night, when negitive thoughts run fast and high, how they were able to take eachothers hands and sleep knowing that they arent hated by everybody. feel the warmth and know that they are loved by at least this one. and eventually that's what it was.

they loved eachother because they understood eachother in a way that nobody else ever could. they werent just seeking sanctuary in the other out of necessity, but because they mutually just loved eachother. they shifted from warriors to lovers and they never had to question it, or think about it at all. thats just what they were.
