Nanaba Deserve(s) Better

I don’t talk much about Nanaba at all but I do have a soft spot for her like so many of the others. Nanaba is seriously underrated and I am one of the handful who does not approve of the untimely end of Squad Miche. Any more than I did the SO Squad. 

Seriously, the reason I hate this series is because of its horrific waste of great characters. Isayama must think he’s trying to be like Akame Ga Kill, what’s this Code Geass crap? Because the latter would imply he actually gave a shit. 

Nanaba while minor is definitely another great strong female character who EASILY could’ve been a lot more. (I’m really not convinced Isayama isn’t secretly a misogynist on top of being a delusional nationalist) And we sure deserved a lot more from her. Especially since it is often said she was especially close to Hange. Was this EVER emphasized on the show in any fashion? To the best of my recollection, it’s strictly an informed relationship. An all too familiar pattern for this deceitful author. I’d like to see some firsthand proof myself. 

Personally would’ve liked to see a lot more of her in action. Get more insight into her because the nature of this series does NOT invalidate the need and desire for insight into these established characters. People demand Hange’s backstory that they never got. Nanaba deserves the same. 

Nanaba deserves better. 

All of them still do. And I will be goddamned if Isayama gets the final say on whether that ever happens in the future. He surrendered his right to his own cast long ago. Seems the only proper way to repay him for his sad excuse of an ending.

Only Rico survived out of everyone here and she eventually became a Jaegerist.

When you think about it, it does make sense with her character. She truly cared about the lives of her comrades and the people of the island, not towards the entire human population in the world.

And most likely as many of the islanders, blames and hates Marley for sending Pure Titans to them for the past 100 years. She lost her two of her classmates from the training corps, Ian and Mitabi cause of them.
