so i finished my ap comp final essay presentation around one am this morning and i was crazy nervous about it because, if you werent aware, my essay is on how america sucks and heres how i think i could make a better country and well i dont know my class really at all so i have no idea where they stand on such matters and i presented first today which was nerve wracking enough but with that on top and the fact that we have our final debate next week where my grade literally depends on how much my class likes me,,,,, i was extremely anxious. but i went up there and i talked and talked and looked people directly in the eye and clicked on time and then my teacher clicked the timer off and asked for questions and i assumed i had run over my allotted time like i knew i would and he cut me off for that so i didnt say anything but the one kid asked a question that i wouldve answered later in my presentation and i said i had something on that but had gotten cut off and my teacher was like oh im sorry i thought you were done and i said i actually have like a page and a half left, i had four pages of notes, handwritten bc i dont have a working printer and i didnt even Think about asking a friend to print it for me because im used to relying on myself and figuring things out with what i have so there was a lot and i didnt even really space them so im sure if i did it wouldve been more pages but anyway a bunch of people were like yea i didnt think you were done bc they saw me click through to my final slide after he cut me off so i went back and i was like no problem just pretend that didnt happen were just going and im still angry and i got a few laughs from that which was nice and i went on and ended strongly and it was all good presentation wise but i still dont know which way my class leans except for literally three other people, two of which i already knew
(the final debate gets graded based on winning vs losing, attire, and star skills so if you win you can get a 90, if you lose you can get an 80, if you dress up you get five additional points, if youre an excellent debater you get five additional points, and ill dress up so thats automatically five points and im a pretty good debater normally so i am a contestant for getting the vip points there so i could get all those extra points but if my class doesnt like me,, the best i can get is a 90 and ik thats pretentious but the lowest grade ive gotten in this class is a 92 on my ironic essay which was far more difficult than im willing to admit so i will not be satisfied with a 90 if i had an excellent debate)
