I’m applying to college soon and the essay prompts are personal interest essay (just an essay about any topic you want) or a paper about something in your life. Technically those aren’t the wording of the prompts but that’s what it boils down to. Also I’m planning on being a costume/fashion design major
Help me pick a topic
Historical fashion myths
What can we do about fast fashion
Politics and fashion
being Jewish shaped my identity
Being forced to a ‘mini-adult’
My journey to diagnosis
I’m here for the results

General topics for essay writing in technologies for freshers
Technology has evolved at a lightning pace over the last few decades. Advancements in this area and the potential for the future appear to be endless. However, the growth of technology has also created uncertainty and fear among some people.
From wearable technologies like Google glass which will change how we interact with each other, to robots that can do complicated surgeries, there is a lot of scope for technology. The problem is that there are both positive and negative aspects to all these technological advancements and fears related to them.
With the growing need for college students to write essays on topics related to technologies.
Technology Essay Topics
Here is a list of technology essay topics which can be used as a tool to choose your topic for your technology essay:
Disadvantages of Daily Usage of Technology
The growing use of the internet and technological devices has led to a new kind of addiction, an addiction that changes our perception about work and life balance. It is feared that people are becoming more isolated, both in person-to-person contact and in their professional lives. Some of the most common adverse effects include weight gain, lack of fitness, and work-life imbalance.
How has technology changed the learning process in schools and universities?
The traditional brick and mortar system for education is fading away quickly with the rise of new learning methods through technology. This method provides more flexible learning, with courses being available round the clock. These learning methods have also made the education system more efficient and cost-effective for students and their parents.
How has technology affected business?
Technology has had a significant impact on businesses both in terms of process efficiency and marketing strategies. Companies today use data mining, data processing, and data analytic tools like cloud computing to track customer behaviour and preferences. It helps businesses reach out to their customers with better marketing strategies, which has helped them increase sales.
Pros and cons of technology in Medicine
Technology has led to the development of new drugs, surgical techniques, and medical equipment that can help in precise diagnosis and effective treatment of patients. However, it has also created a race among all the stakeholders (like drug companies and medical equipment manufacturers) to get their product onto the market as soon as possible. This results in new drugs being rushed through clinical trials or unproven surgical procedures being used on patients.
How has technology improved the learning process?
Technology can be used to teach children interactively to make them understand the subject well. It enhances creativity, problem-solving skills as well as logical reasoning ability. But it may also become a double-edged sword if not properly handled. For example, it is feared that with the increasing use of technology to teach young children, they are becoming socially isolated and losing their ability for critical thinking.
Are the advances in technology affecting our relationships?
There is one big difference between how we used to interact with other people ten years ago and how we do so today. The use of smartphones, social media etc., has increased our opportunities to stay connected with people. But at the same time, this constant need to communicate with others has led to an increase in cases of social anxiety disorder where people cannot deal with break-ups or failure in relationships.
How technology is affecting democracy?
Technology has enabled governments and individuals alike to communicate and interact with each other on a large scale. It has provided governments with more insight into the problems their citizens face and has given them opportunities to engage more deeply with public opinion. But at the same time, it is feared that technology may have led to the increased polarization of political views among citizens and caused an increase in cases of cyberbullying where people resort to threats and intimidation of other members of a community.
How does technology affect our daily life?
Technology has transformed how we live in various ways. It has made communication, travel and many other things more accessible than ever before. However, it is also feared that our reliance on technology has also increased, restricting our physical activity and causing a decline in the mental wellbeing of individuals as well as families.
Tech is such an exciting subject that there can never be just one topic for a technology essay.
the funniest thing is my class, myself included, will give our topic idea to our teacher when he comes around to discuss right and then we sit and listen as he spins it into something sophisticated and elegant, we bring him coal and he tells us how to make diamonds
Quick question
So I’m doing an essay about how you can’t separate a work from its creator (the whole “separate the art from the artist” issue), but my teacher is asking for references and I just wanted to ask if anyone knew any articles or sources about this.
yep
i forgot to say this is about stray kids
yall okay so
im writing a senior synthesis essay and its supposed to be 5-7 pages on whether politics belong in the sci-fi and fantasy genre and im writing my essay on how they do.
obviously, with their music videos, the Clé series is a really good series to cover and my english teacher already gave it the okay.
im going through what the albums are about and lyrics and music vid analysises.
im so close to just making the entire essay revolve around Clé and how it’s involving politics and bring up the 2016 American elections and about how boys are becoming more emotional and it’s nice to see that in our media.
thoughts?
my original plan was to talk about how the world is becoming more acceptng and how there’s a huge shift in media and in history as we come more willing to accept everyone and how women are gaining a place in the world that’s more than just Fridging in comic books.
i was going to tie in Clé because the boys are discovering themselves in a whole new dimension and everything and it takes a verbal and visual spin on it, but im realizing i could 100% Easily only cover this topic. I would just need some of my english teacher’s sources about how men have to be strong and protect everyone and be like, “no, no they dont. they can find themselves and deal with slef hatred and everything” and i feel like this is a Good Representation of that.
i just dont want to come across as a super weird kpop stan.
i had this teacher last year before i was into kpop and he knows me really well and i feel like he wouldny think that but??? still???
I might email him. Id ask him this block but he isnt here 🤡🤡🤡🤡
16.3.17// Researching on my next topic: écriture féminine in Elena Ferrante’s “L’amica geniale” / “my brilliant friend”. I have to go through some feminist literary theory and critics and by now it sounds like fun!
3.2.17// long and quite productive day. I had an intense seminar in the morning and I´m quite satisfied with my speaking. Then I had a long study session in the library (from 2 pm to 7 pm), I´m so deep into my readings, I´m working on Röggla´s Essenpoetik Essays and it´s just the beginning. Next week I want to collect all my readings so that I can start building a bibliography and writing my paper. I also found an awesome Spotify playlist, so calming, inspiring, so good for focusing!
