watching the Squid Game S2 cast try to play traditional games all over the world in the [vid below] makes me want to draw SEA squad played the mentioned SEA games in Squid Game AU! 🙆‍♂️

Watched Squid Game S2 and i'm gonna say the ending is evil, but I'm enjoying the plot and the characters, hope the S3 resolves em well!

This reminds me with the "Kayu Aro" tea. It's said to be one of biggest tea garden in the world. From what I know, the premium quality from here gets only exported to foreign countries ... or so I thought. It's from a book that I read back then. But now judging from several news sites, looks like local people can also bought this tea as well.

I haven't properly looked at the manga volume yet, but from what I skimmed through, these panels didn't get majorly redrawn ... well I understand why and it's not a big deal but,, if only they looked less scribbly here ... But at the same time, they look cute like some creatures o)-(

This is unrelated but hetascanlation had been putting watermarks on their stuffs since long ago, only on hetarchive the watermarks weren't there. But from ch. 369 onwards, both sites have watermark. Not that I mind it, since they're the one working on the tl anyway. It's different case with aggregator sites,, I hate that they just grab stuffs and have the audacity to put wm on the files also making money out of it. Not to mention another aggregators also collect from another aggregator. It's doomed. You can only trust hetascan and hetarchive o(-( also, the aggregators put hima's blog translations and put it under extra HWS chapter for some reason, it's so cluttered hsjhdgf

ASEAN HUMAN NAMES HEADCANONS PT. 2

(~Already done with Viet, Thai, and Phil! This time, I'm doing the other half: Indo, Mal, Singa. If I got some interpretations wrong, please feel free to correct mee. Again: Credits to Hima)

Indonesia: "Khairi Setiawan"

Indonesia is a Muslim-majority country, having approximately 245 million of them. The name "Khairi" originates from Arabic, translating to "goodness" and "virtue." Indonesia is a diverse culture, and the name Khairi could symbolize the goodness and the peaceful nature that Indonesia has. In addition, the country is heavily influenced by Arab traders, contributing to the spread of Islam. And with that said the name "Khairi" also has a gentle ring to it, which we can correlate to how Hima said he sees Indonesians as cheerful but a little shy. In a more historical context, during the Cold War, Indonesia was active on the Non-Aligned Movement. That promotes neutrality and solidarity with the newly established/independent nations. Plus, Indonesia is also one of the founding members of ASEAN (1967), which contributed to its formation (alongside Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand). This highlights how Indonesia, is very involved in keeping the peace over the region. The name also mirrors Indonesia's role in international affairs, being vocal about human rights in many forums like the UN and WTO. For the last name "Setiawan", not only did I actually saw this in one of the fan works even before Indonesia was canon, but also because it denotes loyalty. It could mirror their loyalty in terms of staying grounded in their culture despite the mass industrialization that's happening.

Singapore: "Adrian Tan"

When I was searching for ideas for human names for him back then, I came across a diverse sea of them. Some had names originating in Chinese, while others are leaning more onto the "Western vibe." Each of them tied their interpretation of Singapore to it, so I said, why not I do mine? In Hetalia, he has an expensive yet down-to-earth vibe. The name "Adrian" came from Latin and/or Greek origin, both having different meanings for the name. I took the Greek meaning which is "rich." I just think this is perfect when you represent the a country that became rags to riches in a single generation (Singapore was never predicted to grow what it was today, especially after it's separation with the Malaysian Federation back in 1965. But is now financial hub, as one the world's top economies). Singapore's growth is highly influenced by strategic governance (like the visionary leader Lee Kuan Yew) and education investments, being a role model on the foundation of industrialization. Adrian also has that modern feel (since the name is also used in both English-speaking and South-East Asian countries), all while keeping it simple, just like how Singapore is commonly interpreted in Hetalia. For the last name "Tan", it reflects the Chinese-Malay population, which also shows Singapore's multicultural society.

Malaysia: "Aidan Tan"

Okay, hear me out. I saw many interpretations on Malaysia and Singapore's relationship in fanon, but in my head I reallyy see them as brothers who had a rocky past (again let's bring back the year 1965 for context). So when I was thinking of Singapore's name, I thought of Malaysia's as well (is it just me or when you're siblings, your names are gonna resemble each other's?). The name Aidan came from Gaelic origin, meaning "little fire." In the context of Hetalia, Hima's interpretation of Malaysia is friendly full of life, so being called "little fire" has a ring to it. In addition, in recent times, Malaysia has been developing rapidly, showing his "fiery" spirit. It could also reflect Malaysia's continuous growth despite historical setbacks to embracing a brighter future. Plus, while it doesn't really came from Arabic, it still fits in many names in Malaysia. The name is also has a youthful vibe, showing Malaysia's enthusiasm. And for the surname, like I said for Singapore, "Tan" is also a common surname found in Malaysia. So not only it's still culturally accurate, we can also relate this to his familial relationship with Singapore.

No idea who this guy is, but I see potential. I've always thought Phili's human age would be younger than Alfred. Their age seems to be affected by their growth as a nation, and the Spanish period definitely stunted his growth (I imagined Ph to be born by 1570s-80s, but is only around 12-14 yrs old in 1898).

But apparently, Phili is canonically an adult. Still, I don't see him that much older. Probably 19.5 to 20 yrs old. He gives me college age vibes.
