This is really random, but like the students, do faculty also have some kind of uniform as well? Or are they rather given a dress code to be sure their appearances stay within certain perimeters? Or is it perhaps totally up to their own choosing how they present themselves?
Hello! I hope you don’t mind me publishing this publicly for fellow curious faculty members and potential applicants!^^ Faculty members do not have a uniform, but are given an unofficial dress code - all members of the faculty are expected to be dressed in non-revealing and tidy outfits - that means no shorts, no (sloppy) tank tops, and covered shoes.
Professors and Teaching Aides conducting physical classes such as Hand-to-Hand Combat are allowed to wear comfortable clothing that allows for ample movement during field and hands-on session. Faculty members can also wear clothes pertaining to their own culture should they wish. As long as they look neat and proper for class, they’re allowed to choose their own outfits that they feel comfortable in! ;)
There are no restrictions on what they are allowed to wear off-work hours and during the weekends, even though they are still expected to be a role model for the students on campus. Hope this answers your questions!
