Time to appreciate all of our underappreciated ships! The third annual APH Rare Pair Week this year will be the week of December 9-15 and will be dedicated to making content for ships that don’t see enough action in the fandom! Each day of the week will have a different theme for you to make ship content around!

The rules are pretty simple:

Follow this blog so you can stay updated!

No ship bashing. Period.

Please do not write/draw pairings from the ban list.

Check the FAQ before sending in questions about ships.

You do not have to focus on the same ship for the entire week.

Late entries are allowed.

Break up long posts using a read more.

Use proper warnings and tags for sensitive content, NSFW, and common triggers. Let me know if you need a specific tag and I will add it to my tag list.

You may submit edits, aesthetics, AMVs, or other mediums in place of art or fic.

Prompts:

Day 1 – Cooking: Does one member of your ship love to cook for the other? Are there any dishes they love to share? Maybe one is just exceptionally bad at it and needs help of the other!

Day 2 - Music: Is part of your ship musically inclined? Do their tastes in music vary? Are they likely to attend a concert together, or just spend an afternoon listening to some relaxing tunes? You could even create something based on a song you think represents them!

Day 3 - Night Sky: What a wonderous thing! The night sky, full of stars, nebulas, planets, and things beyond. Let your ship feel small together as they gaze out across the universe.

Day 4 - History: Many of our favorite rare pairs have history together, whether obscure or rarely discussed by the fandom at large. Does your ship have a specific historical event that caused you to ship them? Not sure if they have history? Head to google and see what you can find! You could even discuss alternate history or “what ifs” if you wish!

Day 5 – Myths and Legends (or, any AU Day!): What sort of mythology is common in the cultures of your ship? Alternatively, what sort of gods, goddesses, or mythical creatures would they be? What about if they were in a fairytale setting? You can also use this day to write ANY AU unrelated to this prompt!

Day 6 – Snow: Peaceful, quiet, and cleansing, or a sign of a long winter to come? How does your ship react to snow?

Day 7 – Run Away With Me: Last but not least, our lovers steal away with each other. Truly a classic, but how does it work for your ship?

i honestly find this ship super adorable! it's so cute and has much potential. since latvia likes romance and that kind of literature, and iceland is depicted as being a violinist, i put them in a modern au where latvia decided to help ice with a music piece or a song, something like that, ice accepts lat's offer as he doesn't know how to write love songs. the lyrics quoted above is in iceland's point of view when he first met latvia in this au ive made up.

Day 5 – Myths and Legends (or, any AU Day!)

Pokemon AU, local teen is helping around the ten years old who just got his first pokemon since his brother is currently traveling and someone gotta be around, right?

Both Gillen and Luciano got ‘shinies’ because 1) I like both Farfetch’d and honedge way more as shinies 2) It’s 2p verse so we can assume the unusual colors are the ‘norm’ 3)I want to imagine their world is plagued by an infinite number of ugly green pokemon (Even if Luciano’s favorite color is green some are just MEH)

I tried to lineart and color but I am just too bad at that.

aph rarepair week 2018 - cooking (day 1)

im not sure i’ll join the other days but this seemed fun! it’s malaysia and china! (i think their ship name would be malaychu??? idk im not good at ship names)

yao is deffo the one who would cook the most out of the two, though probably so he can justify them only eating chinese food... intan doesnt mind though, food is food, and she’s not going to protest to being made some!

(a little ship i thought of when thinking back on living in malaysia... we ate so much chinese food, as well as malaysian of course, and even went to the annual chinese new year parade. a whole lotta china in malaysia.)
