Category is: The Golden Age of Hollywood! Prepare to attend a night of classic glitz and glam at Hammer of Glamour’s premier jazz club. Bring your best gal and make sure to spread the word (it is the Prohibition Era though, so don’t tip off the coppers!). From Gatsby to Grease, we're looking for your best flappers, greasers, housewives, mobsters, starlets, and war heroes! Think jazz clubs, burlesque bars, and old-time variety shows. As always, the more creative, the better! To give you an idea of what’s to come and hopefully inspire some wild costumes, have a look below! -In the 20’s there was Prohibition, scandalous short hair, slick gangsters and Gatsby. -In the 30’s, America fell in love with Greta Garbo and found the yellow brick road with the help of some very fierce fairy-tale creatures. -In the 40’s, Pinocchio taught us the importance of honesty while the world was at war and wealthy women were wearing fur and gloves everywhere. -In the 50’s, Dior debuted in Paris and changed fashion, Elizabeth Taylor rocked the screen and collected husbands, and we fell for Danny Zuko’s style and charm.
