Hi friends! Me n a friend are planning on making Apollo altars and though I've got plenty of ideas I'm curious to see what you all put on your altar to Apollo. Anyone comfortable with sharing?

‘Till Morning Rises: A Prayer of Thanks to Apollo to Say Before Bed

Blessed Healer,

Sacred Sun,

as I lay my head down to rest I give my thanks to You.

For the bright days and soft nights,

for the sweet sounds that fill my ears, 

for the prose that flows from pen to page,

for all Your gifts to mankind.

As Your Sun sets on the Earth

I think of what this day has brought me.

Thank you, gracious Apollo.

With gratitude I lay down to sleep

and I ask that you watch over me

‘Till morning rises.

Just now, as I'm sitting outside in the chilly fall weather doing my homework, I started thinking really bad things about myself. I started thinking about how much I hate myself. All of a sudden, the sun came out from behind the clouds, shining bright and warming up my face. I feel like it was Apollo trying to tell me that everything is ok.

The vibrance and energy, life and laughter of the light you bring to this Earth may fade this winter but I promise,

you are not forgotten.

Though we may not feel the warmth of your touch through the rays, and see your touch on the things it may carress,

we know you’re here.

This summer you have given us, the healing and security, the poetry and arts and divination you are patron of will not be forgotten due to the dwindling and clouded sun.

You are loved and worshipped, as you should be, and we do not forget you.
