Apollocore pt. 1
A P O L L O
“Apollo, of you even the swan sings with clear voice to the beating of his wings, as he alights upon the bank by the eddying river Peneios; and of you the sweet-tongued minstrel, holding his high-pitched lyre, always sings both first and last. And so hail to you lord! I seek your favour with my song.”
- Homeric Hymn 21 to Apollo

me whining to Apollo
I am a rural American, so it comes as no surprise that I grew up shooting at targets (tho I don't hunt). I've always been a gun person, and I'm good enough at it to win trophies, but always wanted to shoot a bow. Even before I started working with Apollo bows have always fascinated me, they're beautiful and artistic and primal in a way a gun could never be. My problem is that I am incredibly short, and therefore so are my arms. I can't comfortably draw back a compound bow far enough and youth size bows aren't quite right either. So my stepdad suggested that we get me my own bow. A custom one, but only if I'm serious. I'm so happy I wanna cry.
