I feel as if Rand's narrator is also quite problematic in the sense that he is too perfect, he's not real enough to have flaws in order for readers to relate, and tho it was so poetic the romance was kinda rushed (p understandable tho, it's a novella). I agree with the book in terms of the importance in freedom and egoism, but maybe not to the extent in which the individual's worth relies on their self-esteem. What do you think?

I think that. Yeah. I guess i sort disregarded that feeling that you’re talking about because I read the forward that was with it and it was talking about how she set out to write it as an epic poem so I was sort of just like. Expecting simple characters. My biggest problem is really that she is such a charismatic writer that I tend to just agree with whatever she is saying while I’m reading, but then if I stopped and stepped back, I had so many qualms with her general philosophy. I dunno. The idea that people should live only for themselves in troubling. Because that’s how people against “political correctness” think. I’m sorry if I’m repeating myself from before, I just can’t really remember what all I said previously.

dude idk about you, but Rami Malek is like my #1 Patroclus casting choice. HE HAS SUCH A PATROCLUS VIBE TO ME.

Yes!!!  He’s my Patroclus too!!  I can’t even picture anyone else as Patroclus anymore bc he’s so perfect!

His eyes are soulful and intense like he could kick your ass, but they’re soft at the same time like he’s the sweetest person on the planet.  Just how I imagine Patroclus’ eyes to be.

Also, he’s just so soft in everything and lovely, you can’t help but fall in love with him.  Which is exactly the kind of vibe Patroclus would have.

Second question, what do you think about the feminism vs egalitarianism argument?me, I think egalitarianism is too generalized a term that implies social matters don't deserve to be discussed on their own terms, but I want to hear your input.

I agree. Always choose feminism over egalitarianism.

What are your thoughts on the relevance of first-world feminism in comparison to 2nd and 3rd world countries' feminist importance? Like, do you think feminism should decrease in 1st world countries or is it crucial in some aspects?

It’s all part of the same feminist movement and it’s all relevant.
