Today's religious trauma coping strategy:
When you are forced to study for the obligatory religion classes that you had no way of avoiding, put on circus music.
With this expert strategy you can:
Avoid some of the intense, dreadful seriousness that it is associated with.
Set the mood. If you're made to partake in this, you might as well have appropriate music.
Have something to remind you of the clowns that created all of this and also the ones forcing you to relive all of the trauma
It also comes with the added bonus of a sense of victory, provided by your tasteful and dignified mockery of the very thing that broke you in the first place.
Live on, fellow heathens. And don't forget! Therapy is a useful next step.
