How I feel about this character

I have written fanfic involving him need I say more (*faint sounds of squeaker toy violence*)

All the people I ship romantically with this character

I mean he's married to Eshe? Polyamory is the norm in palia but I think Kenli loves Eshe so much and is satisfied with being with just her. I know there's good to Eshe and she deeply loves her husband and while she can be hard on him at times I do think they have the loving relationship that the both of them deserve

My non-romantic OTP for this character

Pardon me for getting x oc on main (platonically) but I have written fics involving Kenli and my player character/human where they're very good friends so I'd have to say them <3 Most of them range from them just shooting the breeze to Kenli teaching him about Palia's history and it really makes me happy that Kenli can be so passionate and loving with his friends and family I mean it (I have also written other sorts of fics for him not involving my human but those are for another time)

My unpopular opinion about this character

Kenli is not incompetent or stupid, you guys are just mean

One thing I wish would happen / had happened to this character in canon

Ngl I'm fulfilled by what's already in canon, his storyline is very nice and I feel a nice connection with him! Maybe if I had to stretch it I'd say I just want that Kenli portrait that's unobtainable but still in the files, I really want it bad :(

☕ Do you do warmup sketches before drawing? (Bonus: do you have any to share?)

Occasionally I do, but generally speaking I don't! I've got a limited amount of paper so I don't really do warmup sketches (150 pages for 16 usd). Sometimes if it's something new I do a little scribble beforehand, such as the recent Soren art, I did a little headshot scribble to understand his hair before I did that (admittedly ambitious) Soren magic doodle on the art blog. Here it is!

Stylized? That's something I've always strived for when it comes to art. I've given wacky styles a try but they were never able to last long. When I look at my art, I see something very basically anime, and that itself isn't bad, but I wish it was just a little different. I'm slowly getting there as time goes on but sometimes I look at my art and I think "would someone be able to recognize this as razz art if it was just the image alone?"

I think that I'm a bit more versatile when it comes to art styles instead of having one that you could immediately recognize as mine, so for now it's sorta Plain Jane-y, always has been and I suspect it always will be, but that won't ever be a bad thing. I have fun with mimicking styles of things I like such as anime or games. The first time I transitioned from random scribbles that vaguely looked human and into something better was because I was playing some visual novels at the time and I road off their styles as much as possible, and you can still even see remnants of that in my style today actually

I regret to inform you that Dan Fei does not do anything in Season 2 of Thunderbolt Fantasy. iirc she and Juan do show up at the very end, but it’s not much so you shouldn’t get your hopes up 😔
