Apple computer startup sound like music to my effing ears.
Was talking last night about how much better Apple operating systems are because the interface has remained 90% the same since I was 5 years old, as far back as I can remember using it. I remember when the first mac OS X came out, cheetah, lion, snow leopard. My brother's big blue eMac when we were kiddos. Anyway, when I say XP was the best Microsoft OS, it's not just due to nostalgia. The interface was the only one comparable to the accessibility of Mac OS X and subsequent versions.
The interface of an operating system is like the face you speak to and the language you communicate in. Mac OS X+ are like a friendly face you've known for years, and XP was on the same level as that, easygoing and comforting. Windows 10 and 11 is like an alien that screams at you in gibberish; it is infuriating!!!!! I can't believe anyone ever suggested I get a Chromebook for work or anything besides what has been perfectly fine for me my whole life lol. Oh blah blah blah Microsoft does this and that. "Get Linux". LMFAO okay.
My favorite DAW GarageBand has been exactly the same with only improvements since my early childhood, and when I switched to Logic Pro afraid it would be a completely different interface that would require me to learn a DAW all over, I saw that the interface was exactly like GarageBand, only with more features. I can still get widgets, use PhotoBooth with the same silly filters. Why would you change what is not broken?
Anyway I'm on Monterey now and mine is compatible up to High Sierra.
