Prokopetz here has previously made reference to having personal memories of the mid-90s. If we assume he was five years old in 1995, that would probably make him 36 now (in 2026).

My online age is a little bit out of whack with my chronological age because my elementary school was part of one of the first pilot programs to extend institutional Internet access outside of university campuses, so in spite of being in my early 40s I've been online since roughly 1992.* I've been told that having had unlimited and unsupervised access to the mid 1990s Internet as a preteen explains several things about me.

* It might have been 1991, but I'm not 100% sure; I know I was already on Usenet when rec.games.frp.dnd was first created, and the FAQ says that was May of 1992, so definitely before that!

That is pretty wild. My parents always thought I was pretty advanced just for being taught how to use a totally unwired computer around 1990 or so, but I never had access to the Internet until 1999 when I got to use my uncle’s for awhile, then WebTV with my mom, and finally cable Internet in around 2002 or so. Which is funny, because people will also think I’m older than I am sometimes because my memories of early childhood are a bit more in line with somebody born a decade earlier.

In a move that should surprise nobody, the authors of Project 2025 have come up with a new position regarding trans rights.

Previously, they said that trans athletes should be banned from sports in order to protect cisgender women.

They have updated that argument to now claiming cisgender women - specifically and primarily their menstrual cycles - will be best protected by banning them from sports as well.

Which, the author notes, will have the added benefit of protecting profits from college men's sports programs.

After a whole lot of time and effort stressing and trying to get glasses for my astigmatism, they seem to do nothing. Idk if my eyes need time to adjust but if the lens is bending the light shouldn't it be instantly noticeable? I'm still seeing streaks halfway down my vision and getting sore eyes from light.

This is why I never follow through on medical issues, shit almost never works for me. Shit sucks.

Well, astigmatism doesn’t cause streaks in your vision generally, so you might have some issue causing the vitreous gel in your eye to distort your vision, which isn’t generally something lenses can correct. Though if you have migraines that can cause a whole host of visual symptoms similar to that as well.
