to anyone with an apple device, i recommend you disable both automatic downloading and installation of new ios versions - ios 26 is rolling out sometime soon and it absolutely destroys phones, causing lots of lag and extra battery loss, on top of changing the whole look of the device and making it near unusable visually with no way to change that or opt out.

lots of people are saying their phone worked poorly after installing ios 26, and there isn’t much of a good way to revert to an older os. personally, as an autistic person who emotionally struggles massively with change, i am soooooooo not updating to anything 26+ until we’re given the option to opt out of the ui redesign, and the tech issues are fixed.

settings > general > software update > automatic updates for anyone who needs it on iphone or ipad <3
