I don't have money for gas or a car, so my family would have to come get me, and they'd have to stay in a hotel in Roanoke overnight because we don't do 16-hour driving days. Total it would end up being like 36 hours of driving to get to the convention from school and back. I can't afford tickets and gas money and a hotel for my mom when she picks me up and drops me off. Basically, me going home for a weekend is too expensive, and we don't do it under normal circumstances, so it'd just be out of the question.
