My Two Cents on Daragon shippers all over MOTTE Concert Hashtags

I don’t mean to vent it out here and be so extra. But despite my hiatus here on Tumblr, I’ve been on Twitter just lurking and supporting BB all this time. Anyways.

If you aren’t aware of what’s going on Twitter about the conflict, basically ever since Dara guested in GD’s concert all the shippers have basically been using the official concert hashtags and spazzing/assuming/all caring about the ship and all the works.

Oh boy, this issue about Daragon shippers using concert hashtags are getting sooooo serious. Let me be a little extra and explain the best way I can on why most VIPs are getting somewhat annoyed. Most of the tweets from Applers I see is that they want to know what’s the deal w/ them using the hashtags. Anyways, here it goes.

Bigbang has been in the business for 11 years. VIPS existed for 11 years.

iVIPs already existed way before their World Tour started. I personally, got in to BB during the Haru-Haru era. Back then, they were only having concerts in S.K. and then they got to Japan.

During those early times, iVIPs have already been audio streaming their concert and I remember praying so hard that I will be able to see them someday (and I did! Yay!). Then came the age of Twitter and Tumblr where iVIPs found a venue to use an official concert hashtag and celebrate and enjoy BB concerts, solo or otherwise, even though we can’t actually be there. Some of us even wave our BB lightsticks at home while audio streaming concerts (hahaha I’m guilty of this tbh).

Imagine, 11 years. That is way before the Daragaon ship started. We’ve been using this Social Media Platform to unite together and celebrate Bigbang’s concert through official concert hashtags. It has become our tradition to do that. We also continued to do this even after they started doing World Tours.

Then all of a sudden, things get disrupted when all VIPs could see on the Official Concert Hashtags on Twitter are Daragon shippers only caring about Dara being there and making assumptions about every little thing. For me, this became some form of encroachment on our long practice to have a positive venue to celebrate BB concerts despite our physical absence in it. The official MOTTE concert hashtags, like all other BB concert hashtags, is VIP’s venue to celebrate GD’s concert when it’s even more important for us to do so because he is enlisting soon. This is his last concert before he goes to the Military.

It wouldn’t hurt to give way to VIPs because it is a somewhat sad but happy moment for us.

I personally am not asking the shippers to stop. You can spazz all you want. But please do it in a different hashtag to show courtesy and respect to the VIPs who would prefer to celebrate and enjoy GD’s last concerts before he goes away to enlist. This is Kwon Jiyong’s concert just please show respect to his artistry and avoid any conflict and negativity.
