((Notice of Temporary Lapse in Activity))
((To all my dear and lovely followers and RP partners, I love you all,
This is just a short notice that my replies and overall activity here may not be as often for a couple of months. The reason: I got another temp job! Which is good. I’ve done this seasonal job before, and there’s good money in it. The thing is though, while it’s not an unpleasant job by any means, it is physically exhausting, and I will be working long hours. Due to this, as I was last year about this time, I might not have much of a brain or inspiration when I get home.
Rest assured, like this job, these effects are only temporary. I fully plan to embrace this job for the short time I have it, and will continue on with replies when I can. Just letting you know now why I might not be active on here for stretches of days at a time in the future.))
me with most people: FLUFF! SLIGHT ANGST SOMETIMES BUT A LOT OF FLUFF!

❛ Did you see me ? Were you watching ? ❜
𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐀𝐓 Anna’s enthusiasm and the corners of her eyes crinkled as she reached in to hug her sister. Her grasp was easy, free. She gave a squeeze before stepping back, keeping her grasp on the new queen’s hands as she looked at her, eyes full of pride.
“Of course I was watching!” she laughed, spinning Anna a little. “Did you think I would miss my baby sister’s first big speech as queen?”
It had been strange to watch from the sidelines again, a place she had been familiar with while their parents were alive. But she hadn’t missed being in the limelight -- instead she relished watching Anna in her element.
“You did beautifully,” she continued, smile warm.
“ i can never do anything right can i !? ” // w o o p s ?
- ; phrases that really hit you where it hurts – accepting!!
“ANNA!” ELSA CALLED, GRIPPING HER sister’s shoulders in firm hands.
She had known this moment was bound to come at some point -- she remembered the first time she had been certain she had ruined everything and Arendelle was bound to fall, even after the Thaw. A mixup of dignitaries and ambassadors and dates had led to her being woefully unprepared for an official visit. She had not known any of their names, nor their countries, and had been forced to rely almost entirely on Kai to handle the entire thing. The weeping in her office afterwards had been long and messy, her head in her arms on the desk that had belonged to each and every one of Arendelle’s royals. But she had pulled herself together, written her apologies to them for the state of the visit, and all of them had told her it was nothing to worry about and that they would be glad to visit again.
“Do you know how many times I managed to send the wrong letters to the wrong people?” she continued, rubbing her thumbs encouragingly into Anna’s shoulders. “How many trade agreements ended up in the wrong hands, or menus for visits were disasters, or council meetings I missed because I thought it was Thursday and it was Friday? Trust me, no one will mind your mistakes, Anna. Just breathe.”
The queen may rule absolutely, but her staff were an important part of making sure the country ran. Kai would never let them make any catastrophic mistakes, Olina would fix every wrong dish, Gerda would rearrange each and every meeting. All of them wanted to see their princesses come queens succeed.
“Without making mistakes, we’d never learn anything,” she continued, voice soft and comforting. “Each thing you mess up is just another lesson. Try not to worry about it.”
"Please don't go."
“YOU KNOW I WOULD STAY if I could,” Elsa murmured, reaching out a hand to take her sister’s. Those three simple words brought back memories -- her own plea to their parents before they left that final time. Do you have to go? The same question, the same request. Stay here. Don’t leave me.
And she would love to never set foot on a ship or into a carriage without Anna by her side. But the fact of the matter was that she was queen and at some point she would have to leave Arendelle for political reasons. Their foreign relations had weakened in the years of isolation, and it was imperative she improved them now. They needed allies, especially after the reveal of her powers. And sending a representative to do the elusive queen’s job just wouldn’t do.
“You’ll have Kristoff here,” she reminded Anna, trying to form her expression into an encouraging smile. “And Kai and Gerda. And you’ll be kept so busy, you’ll barely notice I’m gone.” A gentle squeeze of the hand in hers. “I’ll be back before you know it.”
