Closed Adoption: “Molly” plot bunny

For closed adoption. I don’t need credit, and the new parent can make any changes they want.

Janeway brings Molly with her to Voyager (like Archer had Porthos). After being trapped in the Delta Quadrant, Molly becomes a therapeutic presence to many of the crew (like Tom, who “always had dogs”). Janeway builds a mentoring relationship with a shy science cadet who is struggling to cope with the events of “Caretaker,” but the turning point comes with Molly’s pregnancy/puppies, which the cadet helps out a lot with and which brings her out of her shell.

This is our first adoption.

Since we’ve never done this before and need to find out how best to do it, I’d suggest any takers ‘apply’ to adopt and we let The Original Creator decide?

How does that sound?
