On New Year’s Day I took a #museum day at the #moma . Hadn’t been since COVID. Or since they opened the new extension on the site of the wholly unique American Folk Art Museum building (RIP. When you’re a cultural institution & you have the opportunity to bulldoze an idiosyncratic piece of design to insert a completely nondescript extension, I guess you have to do it). Anyways, saw a nice handful of great exhibits, but all these images are from my favorite: Sophie Taeuber-Arp. #dadaist , #appliedartist , #designer , #fineartist . She did EVERYTHING, from #textiles to #typography to #architecturaldesign to #illustration to #puppetry .
