Big hair, and big fiery baby fox! plus I nicknamed a flareon Rinina in my Shield game.

Alverio

Element: Grass! flowers specifically 🌸

Gossifleur

Specifically because of the ginger hair/leaves!

Daphne

Element: Earth 🪨

Sandslash!

Yes, because it’s yellow, but I also think that Alolan sandslash being blue and that Daphne has blue highlights is a cute little nod! also when protecting Portia, Daphne can 100% get highly aggressive.

Pirouette

Element: Emotion 🖤

Umbreon (shiny)

Yes, shiny specifically for the color palette! I just feel like Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon are much more emotion based Pokémon than any of the other Eevees, probably because they evolve with friendship.

Mirsa

Element: Psychic 🔮

Dragonair (shiny)

Completely what made me think about this in the first place. Dragonair has a ball on it’s neck, reminiscent of Mirsa’s crystal ball and the stones they use specifically for their scrying, Dragonair can get psychic moves (not many, but a few is more than none!) and the shiny coloring is close to Mirsa’s cloak.

Valerius hissed when Rinina actually couldn’t contain themselves anymore and they doubled over with laughter, muffling their voice with a hand.

“WHaaTTtt did you doooOOOoo to MeeeeEE?” Valerius moved to grab Rinina by the collar of their winter dress, but he paused when Asra shot him a sharp warning glare, the magician putting a protective hand upon the other, laughing magician’s shoulder.

“Of aLL tHe-” Valerius shot a glance over his shoulder before he leaned forward, lowering his voice. “dO yOU knOw WHat yOU’vE Doneeee? YoU’VE ruIned My ChanNNcceeEEEee!”

Rinina calmed themselves well enough to look over where Valerius glanced, noticing Pirouette picking at a decorative bonbon, as if he were waiting for someone, and Rinina wondered why Pirouette wasn’t currently with Muriel, when Pirouette’s baby blue eyes glanced over in their direction, fidgeting with the wrapper of their candy.

“are you two...on a date?”

Rinina asked cautiously, the consul’s failed proposal coming to mind.

“it’s my lastttt chanCeee!” Valerius hissed quietly, his expression softening when he looked back at Pirouette. “if ThIS isn’T PerFectTT, I’ll Looooosssseeee him for goOOOd.”
