Polaris and Vega grew up together since they’re the same age!! they’re both 30 years old (which is VERY young for them, in fact wizards and witches can get very old!! some can grow up to a thousand years of age if they take care of themselves well enough)
Polaris met the priestess not during church or anything, but because Vega’s familiar- a large moth rabbit- was sitting on top of the High Wizard tower and Polaris was in the middle of her studies with Antony. Vega came over to retrieve her familiar and met the apprentice, and they hit it off!! Often they’d have tea time together either in the clergy house or at Mystic Mauve with Zephyr
SPEAKING OF... Zephyr is the temple keeper and head of the Amethyst temple at Mystic Mauve :0 He and Vega met one time when Vega was exploring the shores of Maelstrom (part of the Mushlands) for the first time in her life at night. The two continued to hang out when they weren’t busy- often during wednesday afternoons- to have tea and gossip about their own lives. Polaris joined later but doesn’t show up as often as she’d like to since she’s busy with her own life
ohh... also, Zephyr, while they’re not exactly a wizard or witch or anything, they still use/channel magic to heal so maaaybe he’d live longer too? but it’d be limited to probably... ermm, let’s say more than 100 years :P

neifion, like polaris, used to live in the same village on old Maelstrom. he was away for the flooding event and assisting a far away kingdom during their time of war. when he came back his home was flooded. he then refused to live in mystic mauve and opted to live on Maelstrom by himself. eveeeentually, he helped repair the roofs of mystic mauve after a bad storm and met zephyr that way :]
