so, basically. it’s based on this tumblr post:

and what happens is that kara is a regular at panera and when she sees lena there for the first time she’s like, heh, yeah she’s gorgeous, but there’s not way in hell i’m going to say anything.

but the thing is, lena keeps showing up. and alex is like wtf you dumbass go say smth (because of course kara told her about lena), but again, in classic kara danvers fashion she’s not going to go up to lena like a normal person.

no, what she, as a self-appointed wikipedia connoisseur, does is recall a specific article involving sappho and broccoli and runs—sprints—with it.

this dumbass decides to order broccoli cheddar soup for lena as some awkward way of making a move. turns out lena’s lactose intolerant, but she appreciates the broccoli??

i feel like lena would know immediately that it was kara who sent the soup because 1) she notices the hot blondes and 2) the hot blonde in question is not subtle at all.

the rest is history or alternatively: “and that, kids, is how i met your mother” - kara probably.

i’d agree except that i’d also argue that leading lady is the worst project and has the highest percentage of batshit fits

THE highest percentage though? i mean don’t get me wrong you get no argument from me re: the outfits that movie had her in (the head band was. an interesting choice) but. the WEALTH of bad looks supergirlcw gave her? they went to such lengths to make this objectively stunning woman look, well, like this, for one (comparatively tame!) example:

honestly, idk enough about other media to really do this. but i will say that i would LOVE to consider red daughter pulling an Everything Everywhere All at Once. but pull a jobu tupaki of sorts, you know what i mean?

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character?

i like to headcanon that she likes to also do art. mostly sketches and pencil drawings. she has a small notebook that she tucks in her inner pockets with half of a pencil that she sharpens with a knife. she draws birds and wildlife here and there, but she really likes to do portraits considering the amount of people she quietly watches and studies. she has drawn mikhail a few times, even lex. she drew lena and alex. and perhaps the last drawings she did was actually of kara and then of herself. and how they looked the same but also not since she didn't see them as the same. i'd like to think she held onto the sketchbook or maybe ripped them from her notebook and pinned them on the wall of her room. just...something for herself. as she saw the world.
