I've had my thoughts about time tracking, never found it really useful in my own company.

Until I had to work with it, in a design agency that was pretty old school in culture. It thought me one thing, measuring = knowing. And that's why I to advise to use it from time to time.

In finding 'the best' solution in this, I stumbled upon a huge amount of applications and tools to do this and one really stood out; timely.

Not only is the guy building/running this a cool guy, his tool is even better!

Instant sync, 'between platforms' activity (realtime!) is really useful and it's reports phenomenal and easy to transfer. 

It lacks complexity (which is good in my case) and sharing with your co workers is easy.

It's not free, but it's well worth it. Take a look at the iPhone version and try out the full blown tool if you like it.
