How do I deal with the guilt of causing so much pain to my family? Iv been struggling with an ED for months and months, and it's so hard on them. I feel so guilty because they care so much and yet I alienate myself from them and don't appreciate them. Sometimes I just think everyone would be so much better without me. -G

I understand how you are feeling. But it is amazing how you have a supportive family! You should welcome that, instead of pushing them away. They want to help, and see you succeed. What's the harm in letting anyone in? You are so incredibly lucky to have a supportive family, embrace them. Why not hear them out? Talk to them? Open up? I know this may all be hard for you, but if your family is willing to make the effort then shlouldnt you? There may come a day when they do stop advocating for you...(WHICH I HOPE NEVER HAPPENS), but then you want to open up. What I'm trying to say is, don't miss out on a great opportunity, there are lots of kids with family's who don't support them. Try your best to be open, and talk, and learn to appreciate them. Any decent human being deserves to be appreciated and loved. Try your best for me ok?
