I finally watched the new DanandPhilCRAFTS video, and was shocked! Shocked, I tell you! And so very happy! Because I hadn't realized that Fetus!Phil was still making videos! I'm so excited!

We've talked about flirty Phil before and how we missed him. How much have you enjoyed the post quiff Phil and his constant flirting + Dan showing him off

I found his recent video responding to old videos very interesting, because his reaction seemed to indicate that when he was younger he was actively doing stuff to get a certain reaction from viewers, so it made me wonder how much of that fetus!Phil flirting was sort of faked confidence, you know? Also, back then he had a much different relationship with his viewers, since he had a post office box and seemed to be paying close attention to every single letter and gift and weird request (like for locks of his hair or pictures of his feet), and so was probably reacting to a lot of strangers flirting with him.

I wonder if Dan ever sent him fan mail back then. Maybe he was one of the people asking for Phil’s hair. lol

But I’ve been really enjoying this grown-up version of sexy Phil. He isn’t trying so hard, you know? He’s just out there, being sexy and confident. And, strangely enough, I find myself wondering if he now behaves more genuinely, if this is more the “real Phil” than that younger Phil who was trying so hard to impress people. He doesn’t have to try to impress people anymore. He can just relax and be his naturally weird self ... with a strong desire for privacy, which I totally respect.

I do wish Dan took more (and better) pictures of Phil, though. Dan talks about Phil more (I’m thinking of live shows, especially), but Phil’s photos of Dan speak so strongly of his affection. I want to see more of those same affectionate photos of Phil, but I think Dan just doesn’t express himself that way so much. Dan seems to be like “Pictures are art,” while Phil is like “Dan is art.”
