I sort of imagine Donald still being a band kid but mellowing out a bit. No longer lugging his guitar everywhere, it’s a bit hard to adventure with. At one point he definitely dyed the tips of his hair blue.

A commission from an incredible artist, @koizumi-marichan. They are so sweet. I definitely recommend commissioning them if you're able to. I mean, look at how cute they made my April! 🌸💗 Adorable!
If you can't commission them, please go check out they're blog. They have a lot of wonderful art.
DT93 Au Redesigns (Season 1)
In thinking about my DuckTales 1993 Au, I wanted to reintroduce some characters from the Duck Universe comics.
Thompson Lovett aka Tom Lovett and Bethany Van Der Built aka Betty Lou Van Der Built were originally written by Diego Fasano and designed by Alessandro Barbucci, for the Paperino Paperotto comics series. I was drawn to them because they aren’t well known and were written as childhood friends of Donalds (correct me if I’m wrong.)
I redesigned them so they’d suit the au. Along with redesigning a couple of comic characters, I also redesigned April. I figured she needed an update, though this new look wouldn’t appear until season 2.
April Caledon (American Pekin Duck)
April is Scrooge McDuck’s ward, often cited as the most formidable child in Scrooge’s little group. She is a level-headed and intelligent child, yet otherwise unworldly, she can be ignorant when faced with an ordinary commonplace situation. Despite her best efforts, her cousins drag her into their schemes. Nonetheless, ever the peacemaker, April is commonly the trio’s voice of reason.
Bethany Louise Van Der Built (Mandarin Duck)
Effie is a wealthy duckling. Great-grandparents built their wealth through a multi international shipping company which her mother would eventually inherit. She is an incredibly kindhearted child despite what many think. Since she is a lead member of the DSH (Duckburg’s Subsequent Heirs Society), she’s often thought to be mean-spirited like her cohorts. However, Effie is one of the nicer members of the society. Though if you call her Betty, you die. She is a good associate of Della’s.
Thompson Lovett (Northern White-Faced Owl)
Thompson Lovett is a character from the comic book series Paperino Paperotto, a childhood friend of Donald’s. Tom is initially Donald’s rival, as the two compete against each other in Duckburg’s Castaway Tear, but later becomes his [Donald’s] good friend. Thompson is charismatic, outgoing, surfer dude, one of the more popular kids in Duckburg. He loves surfing and chilling, listening to tunes with his buds.
So what if… there was an au detailing the adventures of Scrooge McDuck and his young niece and nephew; Della and Donald Duck?
Really want to post my DT93 Au Character Designs for what would be season 1 but like...¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Saw your post about what if there was an au about Scrooge's adventures with Della and Donald. And was wondering who's April? (Saw their name in the tags.)
Thank you so much for asking. April is one of my DuckTales ocs.
I had a different version of April made awhile ago but decided to redesign her (I became dissatisfied with the original). And I am just in love with her. She has a whole history but I’m kinda too busy to into it full, right now. Basically, she’s the child of one of Scrooge’s former colleagues, who is placed in his care when her parents leave her.
If anyone wants to know more about her or the Dt93 Au feel free to ask. I love to ramble about my ideas.
Again, thank you for the question anon.
