Maybe he could have gone for an easier target, but if he was going to try and impress Alissa, he wanted to do it right. So he ended up following 3 around for a while, keeping out of her sight until he saw an opportunity to strike.

Striking, that meant dropping down from a higher vantage point pining her and making sure she was unarmed before leaning very, very close.
