GET IN NERDS, WE’RE WATCHING THE FUTURE IS WILD

That’s right, yours truly and the lovely biologizeable are getting together tonight to watch the hilariously ambitious “The Future Is Wild”, a show put on by Animal Planet in the early 2000s or so. It’s a few episodes long, and we’re probably only watching one tonight. But chances are, many of you have seen it before, and remember something like the flagship “land squids” and other bizarre beasties.

Needless to say, we’ll be cackling through the whole thing. Please join us! The link is here. It IS a video chat platform, but I usually have my mic off, and video is definitely not required. There’s a chat bar on the side. It might ask you to explain yourselves, but I’ll probably let everyone who wants in, in. I think we’ll start around 9(pm, EST, tonight)? Yeah!! I already have a 10 gallon tank that I used for my hermit crabs when I had those, and that’s what I was going to use for my scorpion. From what I’ve read, they’re much easier to keep. I still have my heat pad thing from my hermies, too, and from what I understand, it’s similar to what I’d need for a scorpion, but I’m going to do more research/ask people at my store to make sure. 

And yeah horse is super expensive, haha. But I want a “me” pet, that is relatively easy to maintain and can be confined to a tank in my room, and from what I’ve read, a scorpion totally fits the bill <3 I’m really excited because I always wanted one, but thought they were difficult to keep, but they’re not! I mean, I will most definitely have money to feed it and time to handle it and stuff. I know it’s kinda selfish, but I really want a “me” pet that is here with me all the time. I have my cats, but it’s different. Very excited to get scorpion babby.
