If I boil water melon rinds would my pleco eat it? Or do you think that would be a bad idea
I'm sure he would! Not the most nutritious, but I've heard of people giving melon rinds to plecos yeah.

aquaticproject replied to your video “Dean always tries to fight the particles as they flow up the siphon....”
Has Dean always had the side bulge? It looks odd
He didn't have them, no. They started about a month ago, as a little bump on his right side, and then two weeks ago it started to grow and others appeared on his left and under his ventral fins.
It's either cysts, some sort of bacterial infection, or tumours. I've tried a week of epsom salt baths that either didn't help or made it worse, then switched to IAL while dosing Metronidozole and aq salt every two days (after a water change). It's still getting worse, so...
I'm just doing the best I can, and focusing on enjoying Dean's presence despite the way he's starting to look.

He just had some clamped fins, which I mistook for fin curling (even though I'd only heard of that happening in crowntails). Right now he's in a heated one-gallon ice cream tub with some aquarium salt and anti-bacterial medicine in there. I'm a little bit too afraid to give him a filter, so right now I'm doing 50% water changes every day and then 100% on the third day. Maybe sometime next week I'll give him the little air-powered thing.
