“ you could attempt to rob me but i will have you know right now, i do not have anything of worth on my person. “ the demon informs matter-of-factly but softly, lips curling into a small smile despite her wariness. they can’t really blame her attitude, nor are they upset by it. they expected it, really, but that didn’t stop them from attempting to help her. sorun couldn’t just... just leave her out in the cold and the rain. they felt they had to do something.
without another word, sorun shrugs their coat from their shoulders and squats down next to her, gently draping it across her shoulders. they know they offered a blanket, but alas, they don’t have one. in retrospect, sorun feels stupid for asking such a thing, so their jacket will have to do. the outside of it is certainly wet with the rain but the inside is dry and warm. “ here you go. “ the rain already begins to soak into their shirt, but their concern and focus remains on the shivering woman. “ do you have someplace to go? someplace dry and warm? “ the awning of this building won’t serve as her shelter for much longer, not when someone will shoo her out from under it. “ you have absolutely no reason to trust me even though i truly mean you no harm, but how about i take you to my apartment? you can dry off there and even borrow some of my clothes. i would be happy to cook something up for you, too. “
