Started writing my Gregor Nagy and Johny Kirk stuff but then I remembered I maybe wanted to work in somehow
hmmm. Actually I think I might save Ar-Val for the Return of Rokyn Post-crisis Pre-crisis mix. hmm
but I do want to work in Gregor possessing Ar-Val while he's a statue hmmmm. maybe they can travel to Kandor. there's still 8 publication years for this to work. The Gregor issue released the same month as the last Superman Robot issue so it makes sense for the Johny Kirk parents plot point
The New Superman and The New Wonder Woman
Orana and Ar-Val are pretty close characterization wise. Both are quick-tempered characters who want glory for their superheroics.
Orana is more confused about the Outside World, while Ar-Val's ego only became a thing once he started superheroing. Orana is more like the other potential replacement Superman as well. (The other replacement Superman kept failing the tests Clark put them through due to not thinking things through causing a potential loss of life; while Orana during the tournament kept putting people in danger; However, Ar-Val later fakes accidents to make him look good)
They also both died at the end of their stories; However Orana died due to not listening to Diana, while Ar-Val's death was caused due to him saving Kal-El
Something is interesting is that Orana listens to Diana's advice about Warhead, while Ar doesn't listen to Clark's advice about Luthor
They're also both called the new [Superhero name]
