I will be doing the Ration challenge this year and it would mean a lot to me if you could donate to support Syrian refugees. Act for peace provides food, medical attention, and education to refugees around the world, and your support would help them to do it. 

I will be eating the same amount of food that a syrian refugee would for a week, which is not much!!

Don’t worry, I didn’t find your post offensive, I love the comparison. I am more concerned that people will idolise this one man and completely detatch from the very real, very dangerous situation in Palestine that is still happening.
