Rose isn’t sure how best to cope with Aradia’s coldness, but she thinks that the most likely path to sanity is to counter it with warmth. She’s got a few Disney movies downloaded, and has her laptop hooked up to the television. She opted out of popcorn, because while bubble ghosts are usually happy to eat, Aradia doesn’t seem so inclined.

“Aradia, dear? We’re ready down here,” she calls, and trains her gaze on the ceiling, waiting for a pair of feet to phase through the plaster.
