Why would you ever talk about Mindfang in a positive way
She is literally a rapist that treated the Dolorosa as a toy
There should be no respect for her. There should be no one saying that she was a brave woman that fought for what she believed in. There should be no one defending her or Vriska and Aranea’s idolization of her.
She is a rapist in canon. And that’s all that should be remembered of her. The only remorse she showed when her victim died was remorse that she would no longer be able to “play” with her. And that’s all we need to know about her.
Don’t paint her as some heroic figure. She was a criminal that took part in rape and slavery. She’s probably raped before the Dolorosa. Has probably led assaults that took hundreds of lives.
Taking part in a rebellion that she knew would fail anyways doesn’t change any of that. She was a pirate for what, her whole life? She was past redemption. She lived as a devil and died like one.
And for that matter, why would you ever call the basically fully grown Aranea, that would have far more understanding of what went on in that journal (while I loathe Vriska, I will say that she read the journal as a child and probably had little understanding of things like rape), a good person? She, while full well knowing what kind of person Mindfang was, aspired to be like her. Aspired to be like a rapist. You can’t claim she has morals after that (as if the will to take away someone’s agency for eternity wasn’t enough of a hint).
