"Isn't this stuff great?" Nepeta asked, diving straight into the snow pile she had just amassed, creating a little hole in the center of the mount. She poked her head out of it to watch him, tail lazily swaying in contentment. "It's weird, but fun!"
Karkat grumbled, wrapping his arms around himself in an attempt to keep warm. The substance seeped through his thick sweater, leaving him wet and unhappy. He'd take the thing off, but that would only expose him to even more of the cold. "This stuff is terrible. It's like I landed ass first into piss flavored ice cream."
Nepeta laughed. "But it tastes like water!"
"You...ate some?"
"Well, why not?"
Karkat groaned and shook his head. "Nepeta, this shit might be poisonous, and you're eating it? Do you have a death wish or something? I know the humans play in it, but it might be dangerous to trolls."
"But it's not," she pointed out. "Now come play with me!"
Karkat was going to protest, but he had no choice when she reached out, grabbed him by the sleeve, and tugged him into the small, snowy hill.
