A few moments later...
i finished watching (with eng subs) the NHK Arashi's 15 years documentary and i don't know if i should cry of happiness, of admiration or if i should cry for no reason. this documentary is perfect. I'm so glad that Arashi are these 5 people. 嵐、いつもありがとう。
Reaction to NHK's Arashi 15th Anniversary Documentary
I knew even before I watched the documentary that it was going to be really col and insightful into how much effort each member really puts forward. I guess I didn't realize just how much effort they put into it. Each member works really hard and does their absolute best. Of course I knew that before, but to actually see it in action is incredible.
For Jun to put forth that much effort into their concerts is amazing. No one told him he had to do it. He didn't have to go through all that trouble with the lighting and the sunset and everything else. He really cares and stresses about the people coming to see them.
Sho didn't really surprise me with the effort he put in, but his confessions and his honest feelings about how he didn't think he would be in Arashi past the age of 25 were a little startling. I knew he wanted to quit, but to hear it from him is different than hearing it in a magazine.
After I heard how troubled Aiba was about how he wasn't able to perform right after his surgery, it made me really REALLY happy for him that he finally had that chance to perform in Hawaii with everyone. After what he went through at that time, I think he deserved this concert.
Nino is my ichiban, but to see anyone in pain like he was in is hard to watch. You could tell that he was in a lot of pain, but he pushed through it anyway. He refused to let anyone see him hurt and did his best to be professional, and I think I have a greater respect for him than I did before.
The most startling to me was Ohno. I had heard he had wanted to quit before, but as late as 2006?? I would have never guessed he was so close to throwing it away. Arashi isn't Arashi without him, and if he had quit we wouldn't be celebrating 15 years. We wouldn't have even celebrated 10 years! Because of that, Ohno Satoshi, thank you so much for staying in Arashi.
This documentary is something that I know I'm going to watch over and over again. Arashi changed my life, and watching them work so hard makes me want to work just as hard as them. If they can do their best and be where they've gotten, who knows where I could be if I put in the same amount of effort. I never thought it possible, but my respect for them has increased immensely. Arashi, thank you!
