Beach Time II Open

Arashi had always enjoyed the beach. There was something soothing about the sound of the water rushing up onto the sand. Even if he couldn’t go into the water it was pleasant just sitting and listening to it. It helped distract him from everything, and it helped to relax him. His ash eyes caught sight of a young woman walking about collecting sea shells and he smiled lightly. “Enjoying yourself?” he asked gently.

Daisy hummed softly to herself as she strolled. She was gathering quite the collection, even though the only shells that seemed to catch her eye were the most glossy and pastel ones. It was just such a novelty, that she couldn’t seem to gather enough. If only she could send some to Mama and her sisters... Lily especially would have loved the shimmery peach ones. She was so engrossed in her little job that when someone suddenly called out to her she jumped, dropping a handful of sand dollars. “Oh! You scared me” she giggled, gathering up what she had dropped then moving closer to the male. “I am! I’ve never seen a beach before coming here.”

The storm had brought on way to many bad memories for Arashi to handle, so he did his best to distract himself to keep from getting lost in those he remembered still. He wandered about town for the better half of the morning before heading off into the woods to explore with his cat following close behind him. The woods seemed rather different, but that was all due to the storm that had brewed about. The clearing he enjoyed was still nicely open and he smiled as he looked back to Jynx who had paused when he had. A noise in the woods behind him suddenly had him tense.

Qhuinn had been spending a lot of time in her wolf form since the storm. It was just a way to get out of her head, and gain a little peace after what she had been through. Plus being on her own meant she didn’t have to deal with anyone else’s feelings. It was during one of those runs that her nose caught a very familiar scent, and she gave a soft huff as she pressed forward. ‘It’s just me’ Qhuinn projected when she broke through the clearing, hearing Arashi’s heart pick up speed. ‘What are you guys doing out here?’

The phoenix had done his best to rest so that his healing would pick up. He had even gone into his phoenix form to sit in the fireplace at the place that was Niko’s and Qhuinn’s. It was, after all, theirs. What purpose did he have being there?

So, he was wandering about the greenhouse which was as close to nature as he could get with this heavy fog still in place. The dampness all around outside only brought him right back to feeling sluggish and weak. However, he couldn’t just sleep all day. A few of the less vicious wounds had healed up with his nap in the fireplace, but he still had some of the deep cuts here and there.

Lost in a thought…no a memory.. Arashi blankly stared out at the fog. Smoke. The fog reminded him of smoke, and he could swear he heard screaming and bombs falling. Reaching out to touch the door to the greehouse that lead outside, Arashi felt the overwhelming need to be away from a building. The illogical fear of it collapsing in on him and crushing him made him feel so very anxious to get out.

Qhuinn had been replaying she and Arashi’s conversation for days. Even though the horror of the storm and everything that had been lost, it was still on her mind and her conscious. The things that he had said to her, the accusations.. They were hurtful but held a ring of truth. She had wanted Niko, loved him with every fiber of her being. And that alone made her guilty. She had kept her distance for that reason, letting him come to her if he wanted.

The wolf had kept busy in the days following the worst of the storm. There were so many injured that needed care, and they just kept coming in after the fog caused more and more accidents. Today though..she had a few blessed hours to herself, and the insistence of the other nurses. So she took Potter for a walk, figuring that even heavy foggy air was better for them both than no air at all.

Qhuinn let the pup lead the way as she followed blindly, lost in her own thoughts until Potter began to bark. Looking up, she noticed where they were, and soon sensed her son and his panic inside of the greenhouse. “Arashi!” she yelled, running forward to open the massive glass doors. “Are you okay...?”

Mother and Son II Qhuinn&Arahsi

Qhuinn knew that she had been delaying the inevitable for long enough now. She wanted to protect her son from everything that she could, including pain. But pain itself had decided to enter their lives again, in the form of a hulking, gruff but loving Russian that they both had a complicated as fuck history with. She hadn’t really wanted Arashi to even see Niko until she’d had a chance to talk to him, but the island wasn’t that big. They were bound to have run into each other by now. So it was time to grab her lady balls and be a mom.

She texted Arashi to let him know she was on her way home and would bring dinner, and asked him to meet her down at the beach for a picnic dinner. He loved the beach, so maybe that would make their talk easier... After driving her bike to their cottage, she parked and took the short walk from their backyard to the beach below, calling out softly when she saw her son already there. “Hey sweetheart.”

Rental | Dakota & Arashi

Dakota had been looking forward to a rental with the pretty boy phoenix again. and this time around it would be all the more interesting. The first rental he’d been stuck with a blind boy and now the boy had no memory of anything. A rebirth was his understanding of the situation. This had him wondering if that meant everything about the boy was brand new. He smirked as he came upon the boy’s cell. “Hello there beautiful boy.”
