amethys-nightwood:
That gentle hand calmed Amethyst in some ways, and she wasn’t all to sure if it was because the young woman beside her was a witch. With the magic slowly decreasing in its frenzy of twirling leaves and the shuddering of the glass window in front of them. The sweet explanation had Amethyst looking at the young woman with a softer gaze. “I can understand that. Though my sort of having fun was far different,” the conduit muttered. “Well. If you ever change your mind you can always call on me. My main practice is hexes and cursed things.” At the curious question about her other half, Amethyst answered, “I’m half shapeshifter. Makes me a conduit and not a full fledged witch.”

Daisy was glad to see that she seemed to have calmed the other woman, somewhat at least. Even though she knew that she shouldn’t, she still cared for and had love to Connor. Maybe she was still even in love with him, it was hard to say. But she knew that she didn’t want him harmed. “That’s real sweet of you Miss Amethyst, and I really appreciate it! Maybe one day, if I’m able to talk to him and he doesn’t think that what he did was wrong..we can come up with something” She gave a soft giggle at that, followed by wrapping her arms around the other woman in a quick, impulsive hug. “Oh wow! That’s amazing, I’ve never met anyone like you before! What’s your preferred shifter form?” Daisy asked, bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet.
amethys-nightwood:
“I’ll be sure to be there then,” said the conduit with a very alluring smile upon her darkly painted lips. The magic that stirred at the leaves didn’t still while the witch beside her explained her story, and in the uncontrolled wave of magic seeping from the conduit the glass of the window they were standing in front of shuddered. “No one, especially a flower as sweet as you, deserves such betrayal. It was dumb of that human to turn on you as he did. If you’d like I could hex him for you. Make his eyes melt in his skull. Cause him to swallow his own tongue perhaps. Nothing to bad. All I would need in return is a name.” Amethyst relaxed a bit and shook her head slightly. “A haven for full bred witches perhaps. I’m only half so many witches tend to discriminate.”

“Good! I can’t wait” Daisy clapped, excited. Miss Amethyst was so fancy and smart and powerful, that it made her feel almost important that she would be able to teach the other something. Even if it was as mundane as a tour of the island that held her captive. The redhead bit her lip as things around them continued to seethe with magic, reaching out to place a gentle hand on the pretty mistress’s arm. “I was too trusting. Mama and Papa always warned me of that, even my sisters too. I..just wanted to have fun. I didn’t care who it was with!” Daisy explained, her eyes growing round as Amethyst continued to speak. “Um..that’s real sweet of you. Really it is! But..I still care about him. I don’t want him to get hurt. I’m sorry!” She quickly apologized, not wanting the woman to think her ungrateful. “Oh! Oh that’s so interesting! What is your other half then, if I may ask?”
viking-werewolf-ragnhildr:
The wolf smiled as he looked at the pretty witch sitting before him. He hadn’t had a good conversation in some time it seemed. The ones he had with his twin were normally about work, or questions about whether he had spoken to his kids and their older brother as of late. Simple conversations that were interrupted by the busy lives of work they held on this island. At her question he smiled and shook his head lightly. “Ah. I’ve seen so many that I’m very unsure as to which was the first.”
At her next words he fell silent, ice blue eyes watching her carefully. “Trusting someone you love isn’t stupid, sweet thing. It’s cruel for that person to use or break your love and trust for their own gain.”

“Well if you remember, let me know! I love old movies, especially musicals. Like, with Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire! I always wished that I could dance like Ginger Rogers but we never could afford dance lessons. If I took them, then all of my sisters would want to as well” Daisy explained with a giggle. When Loki didn’t seem to mind her touching him, the redhead continued her tentative explorations, her fingers gently moving to touch the strands of his sandy hair now.
“Yeah..I know. I’m not gonna deny that. But I still feel stupid. Especially since it hasn’t kept me from being more wary, like it should have. I trusted you when I first got in here Mister Loki, even if I was a little scared of you” Daisy admitted with a giggle, leaning in now to place a bold kiss to his cheek.
amethys-nightwood:
“I would love to have you show me around. When do you usually work. I’ll plan a whole morning just to come visit.” Amethyst smiled as she looked at the beauty beside her. Crossing her arms over her chest, those pretty features went from pleasant to dark, and the chaotic magic in her conduit veins caused the leaves around them to begin to swirl. “To be betray by those closest to you. It is terrible. If you’d like I could take revenge on him for you.” At the questions she relaxed a bit more. “All over. Went from New Orleans and San Francisco. It was all very fun yet very disappointing.”

“It’s a date then!” Daisy smiled brightly, bouncing a little on the balls of her feet. The woman was not only beautiful and interesting, but from a prominent magical family. What an honor it would be to show her around the apothecary that she was so proud to work at! “I open tomorrow, around ten o’clock. So you can come around anytime after that. I can’t wait!” Daisy enthusiasm dampened when the woman’s expression changed so drastically, and the leaves around them rustled. Shaking her head, she gave the nice Mistress a soft smile. “Oh..it’s okay. Really! In a way I deserved it. Mama always warned me to not trust NoMaj’s, but I insisted that Connor was different. Dumb of me, wasn’t it?” Daisy chuckled a bit, shrugging. “Oh! What was so disappointing about them? Isn’t New Orleans supposed to be sort of a haven for our kind?”
viking-werewolf-ragnhildr:
“We do,” he muttered. Talking about Ingrid was something he never really did. Not even with his own children. The wolf relaxed under the soft touch from the young woman, his arm staying in place so that she could continue that stroking. He smiled and nodded. “I’m sure she would. She was a rather loving wolf. She’d want me to be happy and not so gloomy.” At her excitement about movies he grinned. “I was. Didn’t miss a beat with all that. It was a good way to break from all the stress of moving around.”
When she took his hand those bright, icy blue eyes moved to look up at her pretty face. He listened to her explain how no one on this stupid little island. However, it was that last part that had him turning his head slightly to the side as he furrowed his brow. Humans knowing about supernatural beings and where to sell them off to was extremely rare. Though they weren’t unheard of. Many played as puppets to the stronger supernatural species. Harmless creatures to draw in the weaker species so that they could be captured and sold on the black market or to these islands. “That’s a terrible thing for someone you trusted to do. I’m sorry he did such a thing to you. You don’t deserve such a fate.” None of these creatures did.

“Then you should. Because you really do deserve it Mister Loki” Daisy smiled softly. When the wolf seemed to keep his arm especially still, she smiled a bit to herself. He was starved for affection, she guessed. Denying himself one of the most basic needs of humans. Well..she would be sure to give him however much affection that he wanted. “What was the first movie that you ever saw? Do you remember?” Daisy asked, more of that excitement creeping into her voice.
When Loki turned his head, Daisy was afraid that she had done something to anger him. But when it seemed to be her story that upset him, she was touched. Lifting a hand, she gently touched his cheek. “Thank you.. It was partially my fault, you know? I trusted him, and told him what I was. Mama warned me, but I didn’t listen. I thought that he really loved me, and would never do anything to hurt me. I sure was wrong. Stupid, huh..” Daisy gave a low chuckle, but it was full of nothing but bitterness.
amethys-nightwood:
“Oh, yes. I did see that little shop while wandering about town. I was planning to make a trip there once I’ve fully settled in. I’m curious to see what it has to offer.” After a moment of peering in at the items in the shop they had been conversing in front of, Amethyst couldn’t help but to ask, “You’re a witch and yet you’re a slave. How did that come about? I thought that the island only enslaved the weaker species.” At her mention of the place she came from Amethyst smiled. “You’re right. I’ve never heard of it. While travelling I stuck mostly to the bigger cities.”

“Oh you should come by, I’d be so glad to see you again! I can show you around, and help you find whatever you would need” Daisy smiled, pride evident in her voice. She was far from the owner of the apothecary, literally a lowly slave. But she loved where she worked and took a great deal of pride in what she did there. “Oh..yeah” The redhead smiled lightly. She got that question a lot, which she knew was understandable. “I was kidnapped. I..trusted the wrong person, told them what I was. And I was kidnapped and sold here. Sure hope the money they got was worth it..” Daisy sighed sadly, but was quick to smile again. “Oh! Will you tell me all about where you’ve been? I love hearing about people’s travels”
viking-werewolf-ragnhildr:
“I’m sure that’ll happen eventually. I’ve seen old ones here and there coming to the island.” The thought of Ingrid always caused his heart to clench tight in his chest. It was a pain that he still felt even until this day. The loss of his mate and the mother of his child. “I do. She’s been long since gone though, and she’d probably scold me for being sad over it all.” The young woman’s warm hand on his arm was comforting and had him smiling lightly. Her questions continued, and he had to pause and think once more. “I suppose the development of entertainment has always been amusing to me. Going from plays on stage to pictures on screens. And the changes in music through time as well.”
Loki nodded. “She’s a very strong woman indeed.” When things got very dark, Loki couldn’t help but feel bad for laying it out like that. However, he also didn’t believe in buttering a person up with false hope. “I’m the one who should be sorry, little love. I shouldn’t have laid out all out like that… I’m just not sure how else to go about explaining it.” He chewed at the inside of his cheek lightly. “This whole things a messy of shit,” he muttered angrily, mostly to himself. He had not come to the island for the extra bonus they offered. He had come looking for Hell. After a moment, he turned back to look at Daisy. “How is it a witch like you ended up here as a slave? I’ve never seen a witch slave before.”

“Oh gosh, of course you’re still sad! That’s perfectly understandable. Wolves mate for life, right? So why wouldn’t you still feel her loss?” Daisy reasoned, fingers lightly stroking his arm now when he didn’t shrug her off. “But at the same time, I’m sure that she would want someone as nice and wonderful as you to be happy again!” Her smile brightened when he spoke of changed in entertainment. “I love movies! I’ll bet you where there for the first one and saw it, huh?” She guessed.
Daisy bit her lip when Loki apologized, taking his hand now. And blushing softly when he called her little love. She had to admit, she liked that. “No..no, I’m glad that you did. I’ve been here for a while but no one has really cared enough to be this honest with me. It hurts but..I need to hear it. So don’t be upset!” She insisted, squeezing his hand when he sounded so angry. “Oh..I was kidnapped. By someone who I thought that I trusted. My boyfriend, he was human and found out what I was so..he and his friends sold me to this island” Daisy sighed, still very sad and even bitter over what Connor had done.
amethys-nightwood:
Amethyst smiled, one corner of her mouth lifting slightly higher than the other as she tilted her head to look at the other woman as she raised a brow and said, “Whenever you get the opportunity, hm?” Amethyst had to say she was more than intrigued. However, her smile widened at the clarification of the other being a witch. It was good to know the shifter half of herself wasn’t going crazy just because she spotted those cuffs. “My family hold a pretty high status in the Salem, Massachusetts area. My father is the coven head and also runs a witches school there. Terrible uptight and boring though.” Amethyst waved her hand dismissively. “But do tell me. Where is your coven from, pretty flower?”

“Yep! Unfortunately I don’t get to around here very much, but I do like to feel pretty. If I could, I would work in a place like this. But that would meaning giving up my job at Hex and I really don’t wanna do that. I love being in the apothecary too much to quit!” Daisy explained, pale green eyes flaring as the woman explained more about where she was from. Wow... Salem was where the really important witches were, or so she had been taught. And it seemed like it was true. “No..that’s amazing.. I never thought that I would meet a real Salem witch outside of Ilvermorny!” She exclaimed, bouncing excitedly on the balls of her feet. “Oh gosh, I’m sure you’ve never heard of it! I’m from a little town in Kansas called Alta Vista. We lived on a farm!”
