In the fanart you guys have seen with Aranel pressing his forehead to a very sad Meizan I was attempting to do some seitarius imagery in their designs. Aranel once described Meizan as seeming like a “lone wolf” and we see Meizan be very interested in healing, so I attempted to make Meizan’s hair resemble a wolf design. With Aranel, Meizan once described him as being “as fierce as a nagamor” so I always make Aranel’s hair a bit more slicked back and in the art he’s a bit taller and curving over Meizan, sort of like the slickness of a nagamor. I don’t know if I succeeded but that is what I had in mind. So, the still with Azyaka behind Aranel and Sherka behind Meizan made me really happy.

spin of fate book 2 / 3 predictions

so mine are

Meizan joins the Preservation and him and Aina face off against Aranel who is with Zenyra. But then Aranel is actually acting like a double agent again and this time he betrays Zenyra to side with Meizan and Aina. Then all 3 of them take her down.

ALSO SAMAREL GETS MORE PAGE TIME. Samarel Meizan and Aina are on the same side and become friends and talk about Aranel in a fond but also "he is such an idiot" way and Sam is like "pls take care of my stupid brother for me"

The planetary beasts don't actually exist and are all a lie made up by the preservation (idk about this one cuz the epilogue throws me in for a loop) OR the beasts are actually human gods trapped in beast form and they have to be saved / freed somehow??

Aina / Aranel / Meizan are revealed to be reincarnations of the gods / beasts??

Aranel finally confesses to Meizan AND THEY KISS / HAVE SEX (i guess it cant be explicit since its a kids book but maybe a fade to black sex scene?? can we have that pls??)

they end up reintroducing the idea of reincarnation so you can be born into a new realm after you die. and the keiza swirls change to diamond shapes (I saw diamond shapes in A A Vora's old art) to represent the 4 realms you can be born into

I think Zenyra will end book 2 or 3 erased. But not by Aina or Aranel but by someone else. OR maybe she goes into depression and erases herself.

Aranel and Meizan were almost tied for duels. It had taken Aranel months of not holding back to catch up, but he was finally about to do it. They’d been sparring for close to an hour and Meizan’s strikes were getting stronger but sloppier, a telltale sign the lower didn’t have much left in him. Aranel easily dodged Meizan’s sword and quickly swiped his own across Meizan’s chest, cutting through frayed tunic fabric and just delicately scratching across skin. Enough to leave a fleeting mark but not enough to draw blood.

Okay, maybe he was still holding back a little.

ughhh so i wrote another because i am obsessed with this book and these characters despite it literally having just came out and we hardly know anything about them. i think i have invented entirely new versions of aranel, aina and meizan in my head but whatever. 

also i haven’t used ao3 in years so can someone please explain to me how y’all are getting your fics in the proper tags for the book and relationship? only my character tags seem to work properly but my fic won’t show up in the spin of fate tag with the others. is it because there are so few? but the others seem to show up fine?

HiiiI! <3 I've got the bare bones thus far but basically it's a lazy morning kinda fic and this is the first time Meizan has woken up with someone in his arms (happened by accident in the night)

But he realizes he likes it/how happy he is/etc.

And Aranel wakes up and they're being cute and dumb.

...but then I realized I might not end it on a happy note T_T

I don't wanna say too much more until I've fleshed it all out but I'm excited <3 I don't think it'll be too long either but those can definitely be famous last writer words XD I will definitely be posting a link here once it's posted!!!
