An arbutus tree, also known as a pacific madrone. This tree is native to the Pacific Northwest, ranging from British Columbia to California.

This type of tree is known for being evergreen and features flaky, peeling bark.

Thinking about Arbutus regrowing, at first not recalling who he is and needing some human help. Sensitive young tree, getting some understanding of humans and of nature. Gets to talk through the hurt of him seeing and feeling the hurt and pain of the plants around him and just... hopefully finding companionship that he needs. He seems lonely.

Arbutus andrachne

California has a prominent species of Arbutus (or madrone), Arbutus menziesii, but there are other attractive species found in Europe, and Arbutus andrachne is one of these. It is known as the Greek Strawberry Tree, because like its European relatives it has bumpy red fruits that look vaguely like strawberries. The clusters of urn-like downward-pointing flowers are typical of the genus. Arbutus belongs to the family Ericaceae.
