Metal little Christmas

Martha kept her stoic expression despite feeling some nervousness for the situation. This was the first year the siblings were even celebrating christmas, and Martha wasn’t sure if he’d even like something softer like a music box. That’s partially why she made it mostly a sculpture, with the music box feature out of sight and wound up at the bottom.
When her eyes landed on the painting, some of the stone face faded; a glimmer of surprise and awe in her eyes. “Oh- I.. I don’t know what to say, Larry, thank you. The detail is impeccable”
She fidgeted with her hands while she waited for him to open it, a ghost of a smile on her face when she got the reaction she was hoping for.
“I’m glad you like it” She carefully returned the one-arm hug, “..Merry Christmas, Johnson. This has certainly been a good first for us”
