katherine had never felt happier than she had in the short time since she had returned. she almost immediately body jumped, wanting to start anew. she no longer wanted to be the villain that everyone sought to make her out to be, she didn’t want to just survive, she wanted to live. katherine pierce was done running from her past, she was alive once again and wanted to live a life of her own. sure, she body jumped, but the body she chose was no one that would be missed, a witch who had also returned, without a family or annoying friends that would come looking for her, a nobody. katherine had almost missed being human, and this was as close as she was willing to get.
it was a sunny day, one she wanted to enjoy in the most mundane of ways, so she took to the town square to sit on a bench and read. she had only been there for a short time when a shadow was cast over her book by someone standing nearby, she sighed and without putting her book down, looked up, “you’re in my light, move bef- please move.”
