After sitting and watching the bonfire for a while, Asra took out a few papers from his bag.
“Are you ready to make your wishes?” He asked. Julian’s confused look made you grin.
“It’s customary to write your wishes for the coming year on a piece of paper and throw it in the fire.” Asra explained as he held out the papers to you and Julian. You took one and started contemplating what your wish would be.
Beside you, Julian was shielding his paper from your sight and Asra seemed to have already written his.
When you had written your wish as well, Asra showed you how to fold it into a paper airplane.
“So, now we throw them? They’ll never make it.” Julian sounded sceptical.
“They’ll make it.” Asra nodded his head, gesturing at him to throw it. Julian shrugged, giving you a questioning look before throwing his plane. When it seemed to fall, a red energy started trailing behind it, propelling the plane further.
“Have some faith, doctor.” Asra said as he threw his own, a pink energy swirling behind it.
Both the men turned to you expectantly. You threw your plane as well, watching as a deep purple energy trailed behind it, letting it soar towards the fire.
“So,” Julian began as he subtly put his hand on yours, “what did you wish for?”
A very merry Christmas to @dr-ilya-julian-devorak! This is my gift to you for @cittisparks Arcana Secret Santa! I hope you like it!
I’ve started practicing environment painting only recently so it’s not great yet, but this was a good way to practice! (I also suck at drawing people so I hope you don’t mind that I didn’t make that the main topic (and I hope you’re not too appalled by my rendition of the characters lol))
And I wrote a little story to accompany the drawing, so I hope that everything makes sense and is to your liking. And after you’ve seen it I’ll be happy to share the files with you because I have a sneaking suspicion that Tumblr’s compression doesn’t make it look great :’)
