Council clerk and guild member

Once we submitted the records and forms we needed to the guild and the lords’ council, a clerk from the council and member of the cartography guild came out to the shop to survey the land. They made sure there was enough space for the market town we wanted to build or if the town would push into the woods. If we build the town how I planned it we would add more trees to the town.

After the clerk and guild member finished their survey, they looked over the shop and the realms.  They were impressed by the realms and that the shop was inside of a giant living tree. We went over the plan we had made for the town. The member of the cartography guild helped us fix one of our problems we couldn’t figure out by ourselves. They also helped us map out the town better than we had it. The council clerk told us that they would send out a town planner to help us finish the plan for our market town. After we submit the new plan to the council, they would send builders to start building the town. We thanked them for their time and help with the map of our town. Once they left we got back to our normal work for the day. We had a few requests from a lord town contact. We are still putting together the supplies to build our town.

Guild training license

Before we could start training, we needed to get a license from the guild. The license tells others that we are able and ready to take on students. It also adds our shop to the list of training shops for journeymen. The closest guild to use is in the next town. Holly and I took a trip there.

It was a nice town that looked to be a crafter town. There were a few smiths, crafter and maker shops in the town. It didn’t take long to see the guild master. The guild master was an older lady. She was nice and offered us tea when we came to her office. We asked to get a training license for our shop. We needed a few records and forms filled out which we had ready.

After she looked over our papers, she asked about the shop and work we did. We told her about how we started the shop, the work we did and the quest we finished. She was a bit impressed that we had some different jobs in one shop and that we had such a large collection of plants. I also told her about my journal and article in the guild news as well as the book that collected them. She said that she would check them out later. We did get our training license. She asked if could help us with anything else.

We told her about our plan for a new market and guild town. We weren’t sure where to start with the guild or council to make the town official. She told us what we need to do to start the town and the papers we need to get. We thanked her and left to get the forms and records we need for the new town.

New dorms  and classrooms

Once we finished moving the workers into their new houses we started planning the new dorms and classrooms. We planned to open up new floors for the shop. We wanted to make a lounge or common room for the guild students. The classrooms are going with some guild work rooms. One of the floors is going to be turned into a new house for Holly and me. I’ll write about that later.

We made the old workers’ rooms into more simple rooms. They were turned into three room apartments with a bed, bath and an open living room that turns into a kitchen and dining room. Taylor with the help of Tara and Ken tore down and built the dorms. Kirt with Albert’s help made the room able to scale to the one living in it. They also put a heating and cooling system in. The workers’ made the furniture for the dorms to work with the scaling enchantment as well as other customizing.

The common room floor was under the dorm floor and over the class/training room floor. The common room was set up like and living and parlor room, that will give the students a place to go when not working or waiting for class. The workers’ did add some of their favorite games to the common room. There’s also a few book cases and cabinets for small snacks. The classrooms were made like any other school or guild classrooms. There’s not much to say about them. Also there’s training rooms that are set up like the shop’s work spaces.

New houses for the workers

The first thing we built was the workers new houses. We built the houses across from the shop. Each house was built to fit the workers. Each house reflects the workers living in each house. Like our shop it’s an interesting collection of houses.

The houses were built faster than I thought it would take. Taylor was a big help with building the houses. He did work as a carpenter for some time before come to the shop.  Taylor and Tara did most of the work. I think we did fine without an architect.

We added a few things to the houses before we finished them. We moved the workers realm doors to their houses. We added another door from their realms to their shops. Each house also got a shop board like the one we had on the trip. A few of the workers added small workshops to their houses.

Once we finished building the houses we took a day to move the workers into their new house. It’s going to feel empty without the workers living in the shop, but it’s good that we did this. We did take the time to start the next part of the plan. We are going to change the rooms into dorms. I’ll write more on that later. We didn’t do much work during the build and move, but that was part of the plan. We can make it up. One of the things about the shop is that we don’t have to buy any supplies for this and we only need the workers for this build. I think we are going to need more workers for the rest of the build.

New realms and elementals

It took some time to create the new realms we expanded a few of the realms and add a few more realms. We also added a few new land forms to the realms. We made it easier to get from one realm to another. Making the new realms and adding to them took a lot of work without the help of a mage like when we built the shop.

Along with the new realms we added a training greenhouse realm to be used when we started our guild training. It will also be used as a hub to the realms. For now we are using it to hold the supplies we are going to need to build the new town. We also moved the guild work statue we made last year to the hub realm. It didn’t have any other place it seems to fit other then the hub realm.

Once we got finished with the realms we made the new elementals. The tome we found told how to make elementals by using nature spirits, soul gems and crystal elements. Sid help get the nature spirits and Tara helped get the gems and crystals. We picked a few elements that the girls didn’t use. We made an earth, rock, lava, grass and new water elemental. Sid and Holly had the idea to make a storm elemental to help the plants in the realms and it would help with any of the other realms. Interestingly the new elementals are all male. I didn’t mind and the girls loved it. They like that we made new elementals like them and loved that they are male.

I might write more about the new elemental guy or have them write about themselves once they settled in and knows more about the realms and shop. The elemental girls are helping them make their new rooms in elementals home realm. It’s a hub realm that the girls live in at the center of the realms.

New quest/wagon camper

Holly and I are starting our new quest. As I said before we are taking this trip to get new samples for the realms and new contacts for the shop as well as spending more time with my dear Holly.

To prepare for the trip we made a list of all the plants and other materials in the realms with the help of the elemental girls. That took nearly a week to finish the list. Taylor with the help of Kirt they made a cork board the shop could help with our request. We are going to hang it up in our new wagon we are using for the trip.

The workers built a covered wagon like coach that we are going to use as a camper. The wagon is a bit bigger than a normal wagon so we could fit all that we needed into it. The workers did an amazing job with the building the wagon even if they have never built a wagon before. It just shows how good they are with all of the stuff they put in the wagon.

It’s a mana drive steam wagon with a camper in the wagon bed. The camper has a small toilet and shower that uses water gems and a small kitchen with a mana stove and an ice chest. All of the water is filled by a plant and algae and is drains into the steam boiler. The camper has a bed in the back of it. The bed is different than most since it a slab of sand stone. Since I started the shop I have been sleeping on stone, I think it has something to do with me being an earth elemental and Holly normally likes to sleep on sand when she travels. So we picked sand stone.

The best thing about the wagon is the market stall that the worker built into the side.  It’s a pull out stall that is enchanted to copy the shop store front. We are lucky that my sister and Sid got back from Angela’s master quest a few before we are going on the quest.

Are first stop on the quest is Magus. I’ll write after we get there.

Shop update

The shop is back to normal after the trips and the lord town request. The shop was paid very well from the request and the guild work. The shop did during my trip. The shop has been doing some small work and request for the local market town and contacts.

We have been preparing for the trip me and Holly are going to take and that is taking some time. Also, I’m changing this article from twice a week to once a week. Since the trip is more about work and spending time with Holly. I asked my editor friend to change it. I would take a bit more to time to send in the article while we are traveling.

While we are on the trip Jin will be running of the shop and Rosalina will be handling the supplies from the realms. Angela and Sid should be back from Angela’s quest by the time we are going to leave and Angela will help the shop like she did before. Sid will be in charge of the shop and makes sure the shop doesn’t have any problems.

Dan and Holly get engaged

There are a few things I don’t write about one of them is what goes on between the people at the shop or what happens when we are off work. I should write about this.

Me and Holly are engaged. I know it seems like we known each other for a short time, but we have been through a lot with our trips and starting the shop together as well as living here. We do spend running the shop. We both like spending time together outside the shop or in the realms. I would write about how I proposal, but that tale is better when it’s told aloud.

We are planning to take a trip together to get new materials and contacts from the other kingdoms. There are always new plants, ore and other natural materials and new merchant and trader coming out of the guilds. The trip is to finding newer samples and contacts for the shop. We are also making a list of the materials we have in the realms as well.
